It is our right to challenge unfair or poor laws, This is England and we are not criminals.

Well said that man 100% agree.

Stanley Ultras welcome the fact that the meeting should herald a new dawn in the stewarding of the Crown Ground. Friendly stewards will point you to the terrace & let you support, whilst the away fans will not be allowed to invade the pitch, hurl abuse at our goalie & still not be ejected......

:)

Speaking to a few of the group, most run a mile from formal meetings. I can't be bothered explaining our goals & aims to an audience who quite frankly have polar views from our own.

Your goals and aims are much appreciated as was said at the meeting. :) It's just your 'add ons' which need reconsidering now that you support a successful League 2 team.

Re: Fans meeting.

Considering that the meeting was arranged by ASFC surely a 'report back' should appear on the fishy site. However, as that may not happen until 'tomorrow' here are my recollections.
Anyone else who was there is welcome to point out errors and omissions.

1) The inconsistency of the approach/standards of stewards was queried.
A response from the police and others said this was often noted when stewards were not 'in house'
but provided by security firms.
2) It was pointed out that ground safety rules/recommendations in the league differed from the non
league situation. LCC representative read out its list, a number of which were woolly and open to
interpretation.
3) Mick Schultz was still awaiting a response from Cheltenham. Contact names of other officials
were given and are mentioned in the Cheltenham thread. Nick Jones, Football League.
4) Police representatives were positive and pointed out that only Tranmere and ASFC supporters
were not subject to banning orders.
5) All present voiced their concerns that, because of Cheltenham's stance, ASFC supporters would be
considered 'trouble' by other clubs. However, when consulted by others, the Police stated that their
response was to expect loud, vibrant and very enthusiastic supporters.
6) Another concern, from those who attended, was about unaccompanied youngsters for whom
nobody had responsibility. Unfortunately the world has changed and if an incident took place then
ASFC or person arranging the youngsters' attendance would be held accountable.
7) Also a reminder was given that it was illegal for any supporters' coach to have alcohol on board.
Police are able to stop and search. The worst scenario would be that the coach and passengers
would be turned back and the coach company penalised.

Pretty good summary Sherry, was also given a guy to contact if complaints about away stewarding were not responded too, as mentioned earlier in thread. would agree as the club called the meet, resposibility falls on them to record things surely?
