Morecambe

I'm going to have a stab in the dark here, but I reckon Stanley v Morecambe will still be a League 2 fixture next season ;)

Well that was a fun afternoon, couldn't believe the Shrimps capitulated like that - it was like they just didn't turn up for most of the game, got to feel sorry for them but talk about wheels coming off.
I think we can still lay claim to the title of 'Pride of Lancashire' as they let theirselves & the whole of Lancashire down today - see you at your new ground next season Morecambe :)

Re: Morecambe

Well that's our customary 6 points safe again for next season.:D

Re: Morecambe

Morecambe were a complete no-show! The stickler is that if we'd have kept on going instead of going on holiday for ten games, we'd have been in that position and given a much better go at it than the Shrimps did.

Pride of Lancashire, yer having a laugh!

Re: Morecambe

:confused:Anyone hear their fans singing " Are you watching Accrington ??" at the start ???

That performance brought a whole new meaning to " crash and burn " and methinks a few who were so bold as to sing the aforementioned question in their little moment of gloatiness probably will wish they'd kept schtum !!!:D:rofl38:

They've broken records with that display today and I wonder what price they break more in the return game??? For that I'm not suggesting they'll overturn the deficit but I wonder how many will bother turning up???

A trip to Atkinsons for the traditional fish & chip pre match meal beckons next season!!! See you next season!!!:Banane19::Banane19::Banane19::Banane19:

very bad advert for league 2 imho. how morecambe finished 4th i will never know. confirmed what i thought that this years div2 was very poor standard and we may have missed our best chance of promotion for a number of years

Not the best of days / performances I agree, but bet you would have swopped places with us (but not the result).

At least a £100,000 in the bank thanks to the last couple of games at CP.

Kempo always liked the drive on the M6 North...;););)

See you at The Globe Arena...

Just back from having a few jars with a few guys who were at the game - Shrimps, Daggers and neutrals. One comment they made was about the beheaviour of a certain Mr Bob Crowe, Daggers supporter. From what they said, its just a shame there were no Crewe or Cheltenham stewards around.

Anyway, looks like those of us in the smoke will be investing in a network south-east railcard - 1/3rd off the price for visiting places like Oxford, Southend, Wycombe, etc....and hopefully Dagenham.

Makes the first chant when we play the Shrimps next season fairly simple then ....

We were waching, we were watching,
We were watching back in May
We were watching back in May

followed by

Six nil ..... to the Daggers ...
Six nil (etc)

All on a very friendly basis of course :)
