Just read in Telegraph that Blackpool are dismantling their stand and replacing it with one for 5,000, so maybe it will be on it's way to the Whinney Hill side.

We can all hope Jeff.

Surely Blackpool will have to finish that stadium before they start the Premier League??

From Blackpool Gazette

Quote:

A new temporary stand will be erected at Blackpool FC's Bloomfield Road stadium in readiness for next season.

The Seasiders have been told they must make changes to their ground in order to meet Premier League requirements.

The temporary stand will contain 5,070 seats, taking Bloomfield Road's capacity to over 16,000, and will also house press facilities.

Chairman Karl Oyston told the Blackpool Gazette: "The key is that the East Stand is ready for the start of the season and we will be doing everything we can to make sure it's ready for action.

"We've looked at every scenario from the option of a more permanent structure to a temporary one.

"The solution we have arrived at gives us the best answer to most of our problems and will allow us to get supporters in the ground for the beginning of the season."

An article from today: Oyston: We won't waste cash on players - Blackpool Today

Last couple of paragraphs:

The chairman dismissed the rumours that the old away stand is to be sold to League Two side Accrington Stanley.

Oyston said: "The intention is for the East Stand to be stored, then placed at our new training facility and used for youth and reserve team games. There is a requirement for seating at those matches."

A very sad sight. Never nice to see that happen to a football stand.

Mind you seeing what happened to the 8 year old £14 million Kippax Stand on the demise of Maine Road was much more upsetting.
