Lack of new signings
:) The lack of new signings for stanley isn't really a worry at the moment!! new signings cost money ie players wages and if you sign aplayer up you start paying his wages as simple as!!As its only june theirs time to take a good look aroung. After all trialist dont cost the club a penny,so don't get down hearted when theres no news of players signing,JC will sort it and in the meantime the clubs saving money:)these are my thoughts :)

Re: Lack of new signings
 Funny didn't think this thread was about David ONeil :(
|
Re: Lack of new signings
Whilst new signings cost wages etc, would think they need to be in place in time fer the friendlys, to give em match practice, etc, if the reds want to hit the ground running fer new season?
|
Re: Lack of new signings
I would imagine once pre-season training starts in a couple of weeks time, headway will be made on signings:)
|
Re: Lack of new signings
The main positive for me is the amount of players we've been able to keep hold of. Key players such as Edwards, Winnard, Ryan, Procter, Joyce, Turner and Miles are all signed on. Couple of promising signings added already, probably one or two more on contract and a couple of loanees to come. Looking good to me :)

Re: Lack of new signings
The standard contract period for footballers is from July 1st to June 30th.
June's a dead month generally. most players are on holiday, Stanley don't report back until 28th June so can't see a lot happening until after that. |
Re: Lack of new signings
If Stanley don't manage to sign anyone you could go and watch Fleetwood, their line-up for next season includes Ian Craney, Peter Cavanagh and Anthony Barry.
|
Re: Lack of new signings
wel im off to fleetwood town
|
Re: Lack of new signings
Apparently stanley are waitin for some new players to come off holiday so they can put pen to paper so when there back im sure we will see new faces
|
Re: Lack of new signings
1st day of pre-season training last year Coley signed 5 players if I remember right
|
Re: Lack of new signings
we need 6 players

Seriously, I am sure Coley has got the players he want in mind and just waiting for them to sign on the dotted line. Wonder how many the board will allow him to sign up. Lets hope its a minimum of 25 in total including 3 goalkeepers. |
Re: Lack of new signings
Maybe we could sign Robert Green? . . . . . .oops, No, we'd better stick with Bavs!

Kallum Higginbotham's signed for Falkirk. Never rated him very highly myself but I know a few on here wanted to see him sign for us.

Of course! He's probably waiting for the contract to be typed. It'll be in the in-tray underneath Coley's and Jimmy's.

Re: Lack of new signings
Cisak is a product of the Leicester City Youth Academy, where he played alongside the likes of Joe Mattock, Andy King, Max Gradel, Ashley Chambers, Eric Odhiambo and fellow keeper Carl Pentney, where he was a member of the side that won the 2006–07 Premier Academy League winning side.
Cisak signed his first professional contract on May 5, 2007, signing a one year deal alongside Andy King, Max Gradel, Carl Pentney and Eric Odhiambo. He joined Oxford United on 25 September 2007, as a replacement to Chris Tardif. However on 22 October he returned to Leicester having failed to make a 1st team appearance for Oxford. On January 10, 2008 he moved on loan again joining Tamworth on loan until the end of the season. Cisak was named in the match squad for the first time as Leicester beat Crewe Alexandra 2–1 at The Walkers Stadium, however he was an unused substitute. On June 8, 2009 Cisak signed a six-month contract extension at Leicester keeping him at the club until December 2009. International Career Cisak was eligible to play for either Poland or Australia due to holding duel citizenship. On Monday October 6 2008 Cisak made his debut for Australia U20 in their 3–1 victory over China playing the full 90 minuets. On July 21, 2009, Cisak was again called into the Australia U20 squad by manager Jan Versleijen for the game against Argentina U20. |

if am right am sure that bouzanis is already involved with the aussie 1st team in some capacity 3rd or 4th choice or somethin, so that doesnt fill me with confidence if he is worse than bouzanis

Re: Lack of new signings
Maybe not the first name we were looking for to help shore things up at the back, but if it is this lad I will reserve judgement till at least he has had a couple of games under his belt he may prove to be an inspirational signing who knows?:)

Hi guys, noticed you have signed one of our leicester boys Cisak.
good signing. from what I know this guy was highly rated and part of the academy team that won the epl youth title a few years back but has had a few injuries that kept him sidelined for a while. should be more than able to do a job for you |
Re: Lack of new signings

A goalkeeping Coach added to the Staff even if it was only on matchdays I am sure would benefit not just Dunbavin but also the new lad.

Re: Lack of new signings
Interesting piece of speculation from today's LT...
Stanley are being linked with 19-year-old former Coventry centre back Curtis Wynter and Exodus Geogaghon, the Peterborough defender currently attracting interest from a number of clubs. Exodus Geogaghon?...I want to sign him already, just on the strength of his name! :D |

But the guy is 6'7", he'll never get in the changing room. |

Re: Lack of new signings
He is not wanted by the fans or management,
He does not have the money to sustain or develop the club, his motivation is the status being chariman/owner gives him (it did not go un-noticed he was living it up in away directors boxes last season), and he has failed in the role as managing director at the club yet his stubborness, selfishness and pride are to big for him to step aside for a better candidate with the club as their priority to take over. for legal reasons, i could be talking about any football club in the world, this man is so pathetic, he could start taking fans to court for having an opinion. |
