New Concept For Season Tickets

I'm guessing that as nobody has posted it I must be the only one who has received spam mail from Stanley today :D

An interesting issue regarding season tickets took my eye, have to say it's a novel idea and wish I could have got the same deal for my St at the Turf last season :)

A sneak preview of the new ticketing system will allow you to refund the ticket price for any match you cannot attend which can be used as credit against any merchandise or additional match tickets.

No, you aren't the only one Dave. I received 2 emails to-day with slightly differing content and duplicated stuff. Maybe others are too busy watching England match to have checked yet. ;)

Oh great, from thinking I was special and the only one to get one, I now find I've been short changed :(:D

Re: New Concept For Season Tickets

Good afternoon gents.

The first email was a test, which was sent to the clean database (verified) and a second identical email was then immediately issued to the rest. Those who have registered an account or are a season ticket holder will have been sent two emails but please disregard one as it was simply a test. This wont happen next month.

In regard to the content, as we are developing the HTML code used for the email then the content will get better. Allowing the club to finally start to communicate with it's supporters. For example the next email could be specific to a ticket promotion or a second email may drop if your birthday is in July for example with something special included in the email.

If you deem it as spam or a nuiscance then please click the unsubcribe link and we will remove you from the email list. However if you would like to stay informed about group tickets or discounted promotions and away travel information etc. then please take 5 minutes to read it. We believe that it is a cost effective way of communicating with all our supporters all over the world.

Not sure if anybody else feels the same way but I'd like to make a suggestion. The 'Dear Mr ' bit ( or as it was in mine Your Royal Highness' ) should maybe be less formal and just be the first name. ? :)

My original spam comment wasn't being serious ;)

I agree with the above about the name.

Just read mine - agree with the others about the name thing, not complaining mind - the idea's a good one (and Lew it's my birthday in July so will look forward to 'something special' included in next months message) :)

If you still have last year's season ticket, your client ref is the same as your customer no. on there.

Mrs Chimer got one, somewhat to her surprise. Not entirely delighted with the headline special offer on away shirts , as the reason she's on the list is that she'd bought me one at full price for my birthday last week
