On behalf statement

RE: thread O'Neils statement

It has been removed at request by the club so the approved version will be posted soon and can be posted here too no probs, best see fishy site for details when the details have been edited on.

Please dont re post until official confirmation has been made otherwise i have to delete it as no permission has granted. As a few people have tried to post it & i've had to remove it im afraid.

Sorry im put inbetween, have to do whats right as far as any legalities go.

My hands are a little tied with this as could be legal issue for owner of this site, altho they did post it on the fishy site its a grey area atm. Can only hope the club re posts it edited as required soon.

The arcticle is still on their website it is just removed from the homepage. So as far as im aware there should be no issue.

Re: On behalf statement

Yeah i noticed i can access the original link but cannot access from home page so begs its removed from public view but only from history database. Thats the bit im trying to ascertain.

You really couldn't make it up, could you?

(Sorry, SM, not getting at you, you're obviously right to err on the side of caution).

I appear to have missed all this; what statement are you on about and what have I missed.

Intresting. It would seem the natural way to go, just wish I had a pot............

1) DO posts a statement on the official website.
2) DO pulls down said statement shortly afterwards for an as yet unknown reason.
3) In between (1) and (2), some access the site and read the statement. One member of this forum posts a link to the piece.
4) DO tells Stanleymad to remove the link from this forum.

About as clear as mud? Have a drink! Join the party on the old (sinking) ship Stanley.

Re: On behalf statement

It wasn't DO that posted it on site it was done by accident by our junior media person, as was told to me.

Been on that for forty odd years.

It was my error. I posted it on the site before was checked and approved, the full story should be on tonight/early tomorrow.

Personally I don't think Stanley are in a position to put a bid in for Rooney & Ronaldo but lets wait for the full story :)

Thanks for clearing it up and hope the edited article is up soon :)

Fair play Martyn, however I can't wait to see the edited version after reading the original, it should be interesting :)

I read the original too and my post was deleted.
I was lucky to copy it in time and send it to a few friends.
Nice try Martyn... So when were you meant to post it?
When O'Neill and Heys were in Devon tomorrow out of the way maybe?

Stanleymad 19-07-2010 18:35

Re: On behalf statement

I had to delete it not really much choice in the matter. Personally think matters are much worse for the club because of all the fuss they made rather than just leaving be imho.<br />

Could I request that we draw a line under this till the morning please? The statement will be practically the same as the original when it is posted on the website tomorrow, just with a few additions to it that I didn't include.

In all honesty Martyn as much as i can police things here on main forums - i cant police inboxes unless threatening abuse is directly caused by members here.

I'll tell you summat...it just shows that the club are keeping an eye on us. Both times it was posted on here, it was gone within minutes!

We are being watched!

You'd have thought they'd have better things to do, really. What with getting that embargo lifted by tomorrow.

Good grief, have " two weeks " passed already? I must have blinked and missed one!!!!

Re: On behalf statement

I think me may be best waiting to see what the revised statement says tomorrow then we can see what can be gauged from it. I get the feeling that what we see tomorrow will be slightly different though!

...hmmm...could the release of the D'on's statement, now postponed until the following day, be a smokescreen to deflect from the fact that the accounts aren't in fact going to be submitted tomorrow after all?...or will I be eating my words 24 hours from now? Cynical?...moi? ;)

I think it's Stanley policy to give supporters sleepless nights - now what ? I'm thinking - have Fleetwood made a takeover bid ?

Never mind, Martyn, one day when you're chief foreign correspondent for the Times, you'll look back on this and laugh! ;)

So why the panic to have it removed from the fishy site & the link on here removed?

Maybe the butcher, the baker and the candlestick maker aren't ready to put their money into the club yet.

Stanleymad 19-07-2010 21:45

Re: On behalf statement

Think thats where the edit is . . . Is there such thing as a local candlestick maker these days?
