Just seen on the Rushden website that the rules say 3 subs. Maybe there has been a late change or an agreement between managers. I would think both managers would be keen to use more than 3 subs for pre-season warm-ups

Sounds like we need somebody up front to play with Lindfield. Still, Spain lost their first match and went on to lift the cup ;) :) :)

Indeed it did!

We didn't deserve to lose. Blackpool were quick and organised but we never let them settle. Jimmy Ryan was tremendous - those near me thought he should have been named Man of the Match. But it was a real team effort and augurs well. Maybe Coley wanted to see all the trialists but I thought it was a pity that Chris Turner wasn't given a run.

Nail on the head Val

Going to be one long season if we are playing one up top, Craig will create and hold up the ball but I doubt will reach double figures as a lone striker, a recognised striker is what we need bearing in mind we have lost three players who chipped in with not far off fifty goals between them last season.

Not a recognised striker by any means but I still reckon coley will go with mcconville up top with craig. And I reckon he'll get a fair few goals too. Although the players mentioned got us nigh on 50 goals, no-one would have really predicted that in pre-season. Putting bobby up front was a great move and i'm sure coley has more tricks up his sleeve. Football genius.

It would appear the people on here questioning the amount of subs used are not the only ones questioning it.

The scoreline doesnt do justice as too the amount of good chances Acci had, could easily had four or more, they surprised Blackpool with there quality of passing and moving, and hard work/closing down when defending.
They also won the 15 man brawl as well lol

If the teams meet in one of the senior competitions I would imagine the most interesting match would be the 2 shrinking violet managers :D
