Tonight's game

Aloha
Just a few bits of info on tonight's game with Bideford...

Coley plans to start all the players that didn't begin last night's game with Blackpool.

He also doesn't plan to use too many players in the hope of getting 90 minutes into as many as possible (dunno if anyone saw the quotes from Graham Turner who was unhappy about being restricted to three subs)

Anyhoo, there's a quick recording of what he said when I caught up with him earlier here 2br - in the Stanley section.

Hope some of this is of interest!
Dan

Unfortunately the vast resources of 2BR sport don't stretch to trips to Devon (or Singapore with Burnley for that matter!) for pre-season games...

Should have some more Coley tomorrow for you though and normal service will resume for the Burnley friendly.

Not being able to see a game is really, really odd!

Re: Tonight's game

Just heard that it's 2-1 Stanley - the goalscorer is Chris Turner...

Re: Tonight's game

From our Devon Source;

Good win for the Reds last night - Won 5-2 with goals from from Ray Putterill, Michael Dukes, Rory Boulding, Sean McConville and Andy Parkison. A lot of players were understandably rested from the Blackpool game, but we always looked in control.

Ray Putterill put us one up early on, before a nicely worked equaliser from Bideford. Several more chances in the first half, but ended level at 1-1. Second half was much brighter and Michael Dukes & Rory Boulding combined well up front to add a couple of goals to make it 3-1 with about 20 minutes to go. A bit of a scramble in the Stanley penalty area led to Bideford pulling one back, which seemed to spur us on. Sean McConville came on as sub for Chris Turner and scored a well taken goal with his first touch of the game. In the last few minutes Andy Parkinson executed a perfect chip over the stranded keeper to make it 5-2 and wrap up the game.

Re: Tonight's game

Table as it should be (not as displayed on the fishy site)
pos....team...................played..W...L...D... for...against..GD...Points
1.......Kilmarnock............1.........1....0...0 ...7.......1........+6...3
2.......Stanley................2.........1....1... 0...6.......3........+3...3
3.......Blackpool..............1.........1....0... 0...2.......1........+1...3
4.......Bideford................2........0.....2.. .0...3.......12......-9...0

So we will all be supporting the Killies tonight in the hope that they beat the 'pool so Stanley can progress to the semis.

sorry to correct you Outback :) :)
Pts GD
Kilmarnock 3 6

Accrington 3 2

we have conceded 4 and scored 6. Need Kilmarnock to beat Blackpool on tonight and we're in the semi final.

Only the top team in the group progresses, so tonights score is irrelevant.

Re: Tonight's game

Think your right. was under the impression there was only two groups.
