Glorious was perhaps a strong word...

I've just clocked Kipax taking pictures with two different cameras at the same time... THAT is glorious.

Dan 24-07-2010 14:03

Re: Northwich game

And we're off...

Dan 24-07-2010 14:07

Re: Northwich game

It's looking a bit like 4-2-3-1 for Stanley with Procter and Murphy holding in midfield...

Dan 24-07-2010 14:10

Re: Northwich game

I'm sitting amongst the Stanley subs - very interesting to observe Coley and Jimmy at work this close up!

Dan 24-07-2010 14:11

Re: Northwich game

9 mins gone and Ray Putterill almost capitalises on a defensive error - he's looking lively

Trialist ? :D

Dan 24-07-2010 14:13

Re: Northwich game

Bit of Accy aggro - Northwich number 7 chops Peter Murphy in half in the middle of the park - fortunately he's ok

Dan 24-07-2010 14:15

Re: Northwich game

Dave, my overtures to the unused squad players to swap clothes with me have failed. I will not be making my debut today!

Jimmy Ryan's just seen a low free kick deflected wide

Dan 24-07-2010 14:17

Re: Northwich game

14: Procter down receiving treatment after an "interesting" Northwich challenge. Coley's been very polite in his suggestions to the fourth official that the ref might have done something about it...

Dan 24-07-2010 14:22

Re: Northwich game

20: Jimmy Ryan hits post

Dan 24-07-2010 14:26

Re: Northwich game

Almost at the mid point of the first half - Stanley passing the ball well but just a bit frustrated in the last third...

Dan 24-07-2010 14:31

Re: Northwich game

Northwich have just had two half chances, but nothing that's troubled Dunbavin.

A good cross from Bateson gave McConville a chance at the back post but it dropped wide

Dan 24-07-2010 14:40

Re: Northwich game

37: an alarm for Stanley as Northwich striker Ollie Ryan gets 1 v 1 down the left - Bavs is out quickly though and gets his legs to the ball before the striker can shoot

Dan 24-07-2010 14:41

Re: Northwich game

Putterill currently down receiving treatment...

Dan 24-07-2010 14:41

Re: Northwich game

He's okay!

Dan 24-07-2010 14:48

Re: Northwich game

Two decent chances for trialist Matty Brown - one header wide and a left foot shot parried by the keeper

Dan 24-07-2010 14:53

Re: Northwich game

Half time 0-0

Dan 24-07-2010 14:55

Re: Northwich game

Plenty of Stanley subs warming up during the break - I'm not sure Coley will change anything straight away though...

Dan 24-07-2010 15:05

Re: Northwich game

Back underway with no Stanley changes...

Dan 24-07-2010 15:09

Re: Northwich game

49 on the watch and little to report... VERY quiet. If I talk too loud, the players on the park will probably answer!

Dan 24-07-2010 15:15

Re: Northwich game

54: GOAL STANLEY
Lindfield crosses from the right and Putterill stretches and fires it home from inside the box. 0-1

Dan 24-07-2010 15:20

Re: Northwich game

60: Five stanley changes
Turner, Joyce, Jukes, Boulding and Parkinson ON
McConville, Procter, Putterill, Murphy and Lindfield OFF

Dan 24-07-2010 15:25

Re: Northwich game

It's raining now.
I'm getting wet...

Dan 24-07-2010 15:29

Re: Northwich game

69: great effort by Ryan inches wide...

Dan 24-07-2010 15:35

Re: Northwich game

I could probably get sectioned for this two pages of talking to myself...

15 minutes left, game a little flat - Michael Hall and Zak Riley about to come on

Dan 24-07-2010 15:36

Re: Northwich game

Riley on for Edwards and Hall on for Bateson

Dan 24-07-2010 15:39

Re: Northwich game

79: 0-2 - Rory Boulding tangles with a defender, turns and lashes it in

Re: Northwich game

89: Jukes header off post - he sticks away the rebound 0-3

Dan 24-07-2010 15:50

FULL TIME northwich 0 stanley 3

Thanks Dan. Much appreciated :D

Matty Brown? Is he the young midfielder from Scarborough?

Any news on Sean Hessey's absence? Has he gone looking for another club or just rested?

Re: Northwich game

Well just got back after a decent afternoon out.

Must admit a pleasing game to watch, we dominated for 90 mins and should have won at least 5-0.

Jimmy Ryan once again showed his class and ran the game, could have scored a few, he really looks the part in central midfield.

Also impressed with our Number 5 center back, looked very soild and good in the air.

Proctor & MCconville abit average, but I can see Coley starting with both come the 1st game, leaving Turner on the bench (who setup the 2nd goal with a brilliant ball in)

No Richardson or Cisak for some reason either??

Brown is the number five mentioned by Smudgie in his post - centre half who I believe was once on the books at Man City.

Sean Hessey is still with the club - he was sitting with the players directly in front of me, but not in training kit. I expect we shall see him at Southport on Tuesday.

Leam was being rested as he continues his recovery from injury - you might have spotted him warming up before the game. Cisak has a slight groin strain and was left out as a precaution.

Hope this answers a few questions. Will try to get some Coley on the website at some point soon (and amend the typo - who else spotted it?;))
