He made more than one; for me he was our man-of-the-match. :)

Agree with above a good solid display at the rear but absolutely lacking upfront. No one determined to make an airial challenge or who looks capable of staying on their feet when a challenge is forthcoming. Striker badly required. MOM Bavs Great save.

Re: Northampton Game

I didnt go today, but after watching Lindfield give 100% effort but very little as a target man on Tuesday, I fear we will suffer without a target who can hold the ball up, challenge with defenders and read the game better.

However, I am confident Coleman is fully aware and has a few options lined up.

Above all, clean sheets away from home are a sign of progress. Its seem a refreshing change we are talking about the problems up front as opposed to the defence and keeper.

Well a sense of deja vu from the Aldershot game.

Look quite solid at the back, but not alot up front.

Bavs had nowt to do, but made a great save when he had to.

All we need now is a goal machine ;)

Coley is saying here about his striking problems!!

Great game, thought all the players put in a good shift, confused why tirner didnt get a start after his great game mid-week, bav's was class, class saves, just lacked that but upfront, but Lindfield is going turn out great just needs to score a few than willl be rocking, unbeating in two games i'd take that, saying that its a fairly new team, jimmy ryan class in midfield

Ryan is without doubt our best player at the moment IMO.

All we need is a striker or 2 and we are sorted.

Surely we could borrow 1 or 2 from the prem league big boys.

Liverpool..... Nathan Eccleston (though he has already been on loan at Huddersfield)

Blackburn.... David Hoilett, young reserve striker with bags of potential.

Burnley.... Alex Mcdonald, ???

Just a few names ;)

How about Grant from Scunthorpe on loan.

PFA website has Jon Macken as a free transfer. Exactly the type we're after I would've thought. Can't be that much of a pipe-dream target after being released by Barnsley?

Probably wanting to be paid a lot more than our wage structure would allow.

Aye you're probably right Jeff. However lots of players are having to lower their demands due to the sheer amount of free agents available. Listening to a programme on Five Live the other night, there are first team players in the Championship on around £300 per week!

There are also players in the Conference on £2000 per week

Don't we know it  I'm sure they'll have fun explaining that to the accountants when the funds dry up after failing to gain promotion!

I agree. Fleetwood's first home game in the Conference last night, home to Mansfield the gate was 1849. It's going to cost their owner a lot this season with their wage bill and gates like that. Wonder how long it will be before he gets fed up.
