Great for Sean. Well done lad. Gutted though as I was 'this close' to putting a few bob on him scoring a hat-trick today at odds of 40/1! All's well that ends well eh.

We were a class above Macclesfield today. Would've given MOM to Putterill or Hessey if not for Seany Mc's goals. Everyone put in a good shift.

A pleasing result, Stanley looked up for it. I thought they lacked a bit of height against some tall attackers but they coped well. Best of luck against the Geordies,we will need it.
Another clean sheet will do me.

A good result there today, midield were excellent at times roating around and some great interplay and clever use of the ball.

A special mention for Mr. Putterill virtually ran the show for Stanley clever interchanges never gave up on any ball and worked his socks off, McConville also had a good game and took his chances well.

Back four looked in control against a side that broke with numbers Hessey has slotted in superbly alongside the Tan Man reads the game well and does the easy no nonsense stuff you would expect from a consumate pro.

Still look a little lightweight up top and we started to play through that at times but we will come up against trickier sides than Macc and it would be nice to have that as an extra option in the locker.

But a superb result and a great start to the season, I thought the pitch looked okay today certainly better than the opening day fingers crossed a few nice days and we will have a good surface to play some good slick football on against the Toon.

Putterill, Hessey, Procter, all where immense in my eyes, ok McConville hat trick, first un Putterhill did the hard work, n long john silver coulda tapped it in, second he did well no question, third i suspect was a cross? overall ok, still though pulls out of balls that are winnable regular, needs to get some guts or will never be good enough. don't let n hat trick blind ya, after all as someone said, last one was Jamie Clark. great result good start to the season, Macc look certs to go down on that showing.
