Accrington Web - Prediction league - table after macc

Apologies in advance for a very long post :hidewall:

Attached (I hope) is the table as it stands - I think! I would be really grateful if all players could check their own points to date and let me know (PM preferably) if you think there's anything wrong. The scoring is automated :) but there was a lot of scope for me to make mistakes :( while I was setting it up - I think I've got it right now but I need to know if not!

I'm going to spell out all the scoring rules, which I know most of you know already but I want to get on the record in case of dispute later :rolleyes:

You get 3 points for getting the result (W/L/D) right, and 1 point for each team's score you get right.

So all correct = 5 points
Right result, one score right = 4 points
Right result, both scores wrong = 3 points
Wrong result, one score right = 1 point

You can't get the result wrong and both scores right, so 2 points isn't possible !!

Examples from today's game (Stanley 3 Macc 0, in case you weren't concentrating):

3-0 - A win - 5 pts for perfectly correct
3-1 - A draw - 4 pts, 3 for the result and 1 BP for Stanley's score
4-0 - A draw - 4 pts, 3 for the result and 1 BP for Macc's score
2-1 - A draw - 3 pts for right result
3-3 or 3-4 - A loss - 1 pt, a BP for Stanley's score
0-0 - A loss - 1 pt, a BP for Macc's score
1-1 or 2-2 - A loss - 0 pts, all wrong

The table works like this:

P - the number of games for which you've made a forecast.
W - Wins - All correct (5 pts).
D - Draws - Result (W/L/D) right but the score wrong (3 pts).
L - Losses - Result (W/L/D) wrong (0 pts)
BP - the number of bonus points you've gained for getting just one of the scores right when you've drawn or lost
Pts - Total points gained = 5*W + 3*D + BP

Note the points for the teams' scores when you get everything right are included under "W" not under "BP".

If points are equal, order decided on number of "Wins" and if "Wins" are equal, number of "Draws"
