I really enjoyed the game tonight, the Reds played well, the Ultras were Brill, 1800 plus watching the game . the second goal was worth the entrance fee. Friday night football seems to suit the team.

Re: Lincoln game

What a cracking game. Coley really cracks me up with his interviews. Just seen him on Skysports news moaning about how Lincoln controlled the game for 20 mins....... if their chance had gone in at 2-0.....blah blah blah! Come on John - lads were brilliant tonight but let's keep it to ourselves, eh?
I hope Mconville is OK. I'm not his greatest fan but he certainly got the ball rolling for us tonight.

Excellent result by our red army. Scoring goals now also solid at the back. Strong outfit now.

Even better Stat, Chimer ?..from BBC Sport ...

But Stanley, now up into fifth after stretching their unbeaten run to seven games, were otherwise always in charge.

Now that does make good reading dost think ??..

Just back, great night, we were top drawer tonight, Jimmy was un-playable, great Team performance, good to see Terry get off the mark and another really good goal from McConville......

Lost count of the clean sheets, but we were solid again.

Re: Lincoln game

Quality attacking football says it all really

It was a real joy to watch at times the balls up to McConville in the first half from J. Ryan were maticculous precision passing at it's best but with a cutting edge super stuff.

The players came out from the off seemingly with a point to prove and by jove did they prove it!

I also understand where Coley is coming from in the second half where Lincoln controlled possesion but as all good teams do Stanley took the chance that came there way with sublime accuracy

That was as good as a performance as I have seen from the Redmen strong at the back, influential and dictorial in midfield and sublime up top

Super Stuff on the field and you could not ask anymore

Please sort the Stuff off the field and soon because this team is going places given half a chance:)

Re: Lincoln game

My thoughts on this season.......we got a good team, who can actually pass the ball outa defence, which is a big improvement, forget sentiment about past players, good servants, but were not up to taking the club further, we now got a good pitch that suits this style of play, n still got a management team that consistently produces miracles wi what they got. ON STANLEY ON.:)

Re: Lincoln game

Really enjoyed the game tonight. Excellent performance. Lincoln looked poor especially in the first half, but then we had so much control of the ball that we made them look poor.

Great passing and interplay, I must have counted five Stanley corners in the first six or seven minutes. Lincoln just couldn't live with us in the first half.

Pitch looked and played superb even after all the recent rain we've had. No damage or divats to repair in the pitch at half time. Grass must really have now taken hold .....Maybe Sean Hessey was lucky in the second half only to get a yellow for pulling back their player but hey, all players get their share of luck in games...

Table looks good tonight even thoogh we've played an extra game, I'll sleep happy tonight!

Lets hope they do it, I put £20 on us gaining promotion this year at some ridiculous odds with Sky bet!!!

66-1 for the title still available here for all those giddy kippers getting carried away whilst I can't believe Morecambe are shorter priced than us looks more realistic for promotion
