Match Report from the gutted Priestfield End
Most of the Gills fanbase are either drowning their sorrows tonight or have already slashed their wrists
Looking forward to the return fixture on 12 March:D http://gillsconnect.com/s/Gills_Matc...nfenwa%29.html |

Not a bad report, thanks.

Re: Match Report from the gutted Priestfield End
Not a bad report maybe, but inaccurate. Both Craig Lindfield and Peter Murphy came on with seconds to play, but they were not unused and if they think that Dunbavin rugby tackled there player when in effect it was the other way round, but in reality Bav's should have been shown a straight red if it was his doing not the yellow he got. Totally inept refereeing this afternoon.

Re: Match Report from the gutted Priestfield End
Disagree about dunbavin he was not the last man, defender was. also thought the linesman far more inept than the ref, called quite a few stanley attacks in first half offside when clearly they were not. he also never flagged the ball out of play near clayton end of cowshed n gillingham went forward n scored their 4 th through that error, a complete ****** imho.

Re: Match Report from the gutted Priestfield End
The linesman on the cowshed side was a cardboard cutout. His flag went up dubiously on numerous occasions even when forwards seemed to be deliberately making delayed diagonal runs after being flagged continuosly during the early part of the first half. Also, Dunbavin got yellow when the ref gave a pen agin him, but when Gornell was brought down for 2nd Accy pen (goal scoring opportunity) no yellow card shown. Ref was inconsistent. Maybe he got confused in the hurly burly (Coley's words) of the game.
Bury next week ...one place above us.... could be a lively meet |
