F.A. Cup 1st round -v-.............

Home to OLDHAM!!!! :)

Re: F.A. Cup 1st round -v-.............

Not a bad draw at home.

Should be a great derby (ish)

VALAIRIAN 24-10-2010 11:56

Re: F.A. Cup 1st round -v-.............

League 1, midway in 13th, not the best, but not the worst!!!!

cashman 24-10-2010 11:59

Re: F.A. Cup 1st round -v-.............

Tough un, should be a fair gate though.:)

smudgie 24-10-2010 12:10

Re: F.A. Cup 1st round -v-.............

Oldham will bring a big following for this no doubt.

Should be a good 2500 gate easily.

VALAIRIAN 24-10-2010 12:15

Re: F.A. Cup 1st round -v-.............

Same figure as I thought Smudgie, not too sure of League 1 prices, but I would have thought that the Oldham FANs are used to paying much more than £15, plus it is only 1 hour away, so all in all, should make a few £££ for Mr. O'neill.....

Simpo 24-10-2010 12:29

Re: F.A. Cup 1st round -v-.............

Yeah, it's generally £20 everywhere in League One.

Our away support is good at grounds that we haven't been to in ages, or ever, and it's a rare chance to stand at a ground.

Only half an hour away too, and we're in a division full of southerners.

So I'd like to think we'll bring 1500.

VALAIRIAN 24-10-2010 16:47

Re: F.A. Cup 1st round -v-.............

Well Simpo, let's hope that both clubs have the sense to set a decent price and help to make it a good day out for all!!!

Would love you to bring 1500, also know what you mean about Southern based Leagues!!!

Another thing, it's nearly £20 everywhere else in League 2!!!! :) :)

Mr T 24-10-2010 17:39

Re: F.A. Cup 1st round -v-.............

IF Oldham are likely to bring 1500 (they did bring 700+ for a mid week JPT tie) I can see an ALL TICKET case being made!!

jaysay 24-10-2010 17:52

Re: F.A. Cup 1st round -v-.............

Is Paul Dickov player manager of Oldham or is it Stockport:confused:

A good draw against a local higher league opposition team at home

Can't ask for anymore really:)

You'll need to find another 17 to sell all your tickets. allocation is 1517 :)

1271 on Coppice End and 246 in the Cow shed

Got a bargain to boot as well, £13 a ticket :D

Not sure how you could have half an all-ticket match.

It's common practice to have tickets for the away ends in the higher divisions without the match being all ticket

Sirs, I stand corrected.
I haven't been anywhere near a 'higher' division since 1968.

That would be the days before stupid gorund rules though. Bet there was only one game a season at Wembley where they sold tickets :)

looking on the website today it says tickets will not be on sale on the day, and yet it says it is not all ticket match. does that mean pay on the gate then?

I haven't got a ticket, and I was going to pay on the gate. Its not clear from the website whether you can or not.

Re: F.A. Cup 1st round -v-.............

It is cash turnstiles for HOME fans ONLY (unless you've already bought a ticket from the Box office)

Season tickets holders also must pay

The ticket bit refers to Oldham supporters only!!

Hope this makes sense, as Oldham are travelling in large numbers we need all the home support we can get to ensure this is the largest gate of the season so far:)

According to Oldham any unsold tickets will be on sale at Stanley ticket office tomorrow. Incedentally they had 200 tickets left yesterday and now got 300 left, must have had a rush to cancel :D

Re: F.A. Cup 1st round -v-.............

Why they just cant make the game all ticket for everybody is beyond me.

Oldham have more or less sold out, and will do by the end of today.

Which means the casual "rock up on the day" oldham fan will be in the stanley end.

All ticket is a ball-ache. You can't beat good old-fashioned "turn up and pay on the gate". So what if some Oldham fans end up in the Clayton End? The more the merrier, IMHO. We never, ever, sell out anyway and it's not as if Man U. are coming to town.:D

Pendle Red 05-11-2010 17:34

Re: F.A. Cup 1st round -v-.............

I just hope we give a good account of ourselves on the pitch, something to inspire & build on

Hopefully the Clayton End will be packed and I would love to hear the Ultras back in full voice they are a big part of the Club's and our makeup as fans.

Both combined and it may just turn home back into a fortress:)

Cheers MrT, thats clear, shame whoever puts details on the site is incapable of doing so. could affect the home turnout? Certainly won't increase it.:(
