I didn't write the headline :p

Besides I'm paying in instalments if I win so I've allowed some interest in that bid :D

One would hope no stone would left unturned to try to secure a Top Sponsor for both the Shirt & Ground.

One that as well adding to the cash flow at the Club may bring other things to the table as well.

I supposes also by starting the search now it gives the Club the best possible chance of securing a deal that is right for any interested parties as well as the Club.

You may be right, but IMHO only when Whalley and O Neil are gone :(:(

Actually the more you say it the better it sounds, think I might change my original 3 year bid and up it to £20 for 5 years :D

.

Interesting to see it worded as though they are looking for one sponsor. I would have thought separate ground and shirt sponsors would see better deals if they can find them

Sorry but I do not understand this. David O'Neill assured us that there were several sponsorship deals on the table and that it was just a matter of the club deciding on the best one. Surely he could not have been misleading us, could he?:confused:

And what about his search for extra directors, announced on 19 July? The club must have been inundated with responses and is still sorting through them because I am not aware of any announcement about the identity of these new directors. Have I missed something?:confused: Or will there be an announcement next week?:D:D:D

As you say potentially it opens up more possibilities and may bring in extra funding with two seperate sponsors or maybe it may prove to be more lucrative with just one Sponsor who has sole rights for both?

i'd have thought that locally there are few companies with 'enough' money to throw at the ground sponsorship (bearing in mind we probably still think we can get somewhere near the ridiculous amount Fraser Eagle were supposed to have been paying) but the shirt sponsorship is acheivable. By making that far more inclusive we would probably get a far higher fee - although still nowhere near the orignal value.

I'd like to see us do something along the lines of what Morecambe do. They hold a sponsors gala in their bar every year. The aim of the night is to fill every sponsorship opportunity for the following season in one night. I believe they charge quite a high premium for tickets but put names of all the tables into a hat and the winner is the following years sponsor. I think that an auction would be quite intriguing as well - get em smashed then start the bidding! At the end of the evening you know exactly where you stand for the following season and your years work is done.
