With the forecast as it is, what is the general feeling of the chances of Crown Ground footy again in '10????

Apart from the overnight temparatures on Thursday & Friday night, Metcheck says -6 during the day on Saturday. I'd say Saturdays game is likely to go for a burton

The best they can do is put the covers on. If the temparature is as low on Saturday as predicted at the moment they might get half a game in before the pitch is rock solid. At least they would get the money :D

Pitch is fine, walked it an hour ago!!

Could get a fork in, no issues,

Covers on tomorrow, and hope that the forecast stays as the Football Stadium Guide, -4 for a few hours on Friday, then postive temps on Saturday with maybe the odd snow shower!!:rolleyes:

Yellow footballs are on standby!!:p

Surely you didn't have to carry the scaffolding and breeze blocks across the pitch, you can get a wagon up to the back of the Coppice End :D

IMHO the pitch is fine tonight; must be OK in East Lancs as the floodlights were on at the Turf!!

Guess our neighbours were still having a post match inquest after Saturday!!:p

Both Bury & Rochdale play teams with overnight hotel stays so they will asked for early inspection.

Stanley could wait until tomorrow and hope the heatwave shifts the frost from the ground :)

According to the Burton website,we are holding an initial inspection this afternoon,presumably we might get an update after this on the official website !!!!!!!!

Doubt if there is any, will all be down to frozen pitch. Suppose if they need hot air they could call an EGM for first thing in the morning and hold it on the pitch :D

Nah! He means PROPER footy! Standing on the Clayton End, stamping yer feet, joining in the craic, freezing to death, saying 'ow do to Redash, Stanleymad, Macca, Cowboy, Mab and all yer other Stanley mates, biting your nails in the last five minutes in case they chuck it all away again sort of footy! :D

Only way is to book on the away coaches, as I mentioned before the Barnet match. We're going to end up with a big backlog of home games yet again this season. :(
