Ive heard on the rumour mill its Chris Turner mate..........

Great young winger.

Shame his face doesnt fit here anymore, as on hes day hes a superb player. :(

I'd pick Turner over Craney anyday.

buryfcshakers 20-02-2011 14:42

Re: Accy player set to join Bury on loan

we only have two fit strikers so the rumour our end it is terry gornell.

smudgie 20-02-2011 14:44

Re: Accy player set to join Bury on loan

I admit Craney was VERY poor yesterday.

But 3 points we cant moan.

What annoys me is that when Craney was on loan for the 3 games at xmas he was very good, now he has bagged an 18 month contract he seems to take his foot off the gas, very annoying.

Even more annoying to the likes of Razor, and Chris etc

I really cant see it mate, he along with Jimmy Ryan is our most important player.

But nothing suprises me with our tinpot organisation.

We have got too many players and Coley has been told to ship some out, so I would think that players like DJ, Joycey, Bateson and Lindfield will be loaned out....

Bit harsh, I think Sean has improved massively this season.

Yes he aint no Jimmy Ryan but the constant slagging off is abit harsh.

Hes twice the player people like John Miles where.

That's the problem though Smudgie, Coley plays Macca up front before he will play these two....

Think Coley would probably quit if big Terence was sent out on loan, with the esteem in which he seems to hold the striker this season :D

Hope it's Chris. He deserves regular games in the Football League.

Indeed. I can only assume that Coley sees Chris as too much of a one-dimensional, old-fashioned winger to fit into the system that we've played for almost all of this season so far... though talented and valuable enough to keep him in the squad.:)

Cant see Gornell leaving Accy that would be crazy on your part. Obviously id be happy but wouldnt like you to lose your better players in this way. Anyway well see.

Oh and thanks for that win Saturday..Excellent result for both of us.

I hope it is Chris; the lad has done nothing wrong to be dropped from the side and his talent and potential is being lost every game he remains sat on the bench. Best of luck to him if it's him, I hope you give him the chance and playing time he deserves.

Very true!!!

I was one of those slagging sean off when we first got him as he was light weight, couldnt pick a good pass, couldnt shoot for toffee and just wasnt up to the stand of the football league.

But hes massively improved. Look at him from when we got him and then now. Looks a bulkier player and can tell hes got a bit of muscle on him, doesnt get knocked off the ball really as much as he used to, can score a goal and has scored some decent ones and ones when we most needed them and also his passing is miles better, especially his crosses!

He now even uses his pace on the wing and has even got a trick on him!
Hes vastly improved and one coley should keep developing! Another Bobby Grant on the cards...

I have no idea why were not playing chris turner, great prospect! Should loan him out to a conference team to get his confidence back and his fitness! Same with boulding and lindfield. I dont think either are as good as quality as the likes of gornell are and should be shipped out on loan to see if either can do something for another club. Lindfield got sent out on loan to kiddy and they didnt rate him at all, is he still there? As he wasnt playing against cambridge midweek.

We need to keep Terry, or where buggered for next season! Unless we get the pounds though!

Cav plays, miles is always on the bench.

Hope its Turner. The young lad has more skill and genuine ability than regulars in the team but doesnt seem to fit in with Colemans plans. An old fashioned winger with a great cross on him. Cant see it being Terry, cant let our strongest striker go.

I can't think of a single aspect of McConville's game that Turner couldn't more than match if given a fair chance. And don't tell me that Sean is a goalscorer. With the superb prompting our midfielders provide I think I could have scored as many goals as him this season, especially bearing in mind the match time he's enjoyed.:D

Re: Accy player set to join Bury on loan

Chris has what excites us as crowd at Stanley as New Red says an "old fashioned" winger with the ability to drop the shoulder skin the full back and ping in the crosses.

More still he is a local lad who has come through the system and done it the hard way after being released by Burnley.

In one sense I hope it isn't as I would like him to get a chance in the Red & White but on the other hand he deserves a chance of first team football and if that comes elsewhere then Good Luck Chris.

Nail on the head... He is not a SCOUSER though.......If he goes to Bury, he probably won't come back..Good move for the lad if it comes off.

Re: Accy player set to join Bury on loan

Have to agree with shakermaker,Chris is a good player, but doesnt fit in the team shape which has been adopted, ie 2 holding players and 3 interchanging midfielders.
Unsure he could adapt to this roll,as hes an out and out winger, and these type of players are better with the ball, but tend to switch off when the opposition have it.
To progress his career he needs to play in a 4-4-2 really, and i cant see acci changing

I am pretty sure Knill will be at the game tonight if not someone from Bury will be as we play Crewe on Sat. We are definitely in the market to try and strengthen Knilly has indicated he always wants to bring in young players so if that means turner or any other player we will have to wait and see. Hope you sort out your finances properly and also good luck tonight! make sure your players kick lumps out of crewe! lol (only joking) ;)

Ironic coming from a team with Sodje in dont you think. Never forgave that elbow on Mullin during the Huddersfield game!! :D

Seriously if it is DJ, then good luck to the lad. Deserves games if only for his loyalty for ASFC when it's a fact bigger clubs were sniffing him. :)

Wonder if it could be Bateson? Coley doesn't seem to want to play him for some reason.

i always think it strange when a player being loaned out goes to a club higher up the league! Alan Navarro?

football19 23-02-2011 13:35

Re: Accy player set to join Bury on loan

Be very suprised if it was Jon Bateson, was talking to his dad at a recent match and there was a few teams interested in taking him on loan, but cant recall Bury being mentioned.
He needs to be playing football on a regular basis and is far too good of a player to be playing resis football

Indeed he did when the proclaimed "Guvnor" was their manager after he had previously been his boss at Macc.
