The Old Board

Its a few years since I had any dealings with Stanley, and I'm wondering what has happened to some of the old brigade. Eric I know has relinquished control, but what about some of the other old guard. What happened to Frank Martindale and his priceless post match speeches in the club bar. And John DeMaine? and Jack Hudson?

It would be great to hear how they are doing.

the 'old board' that you speak of are all mostly still involved but under the conditions imposed when Ilyas Khan last had to step in and become Chairman, the board stood down and took the positions of life vice-presidents. Most are still to be seen doing the same jobs week in week out as they always had done. Unfortunately for what ever reason Big Frank stopped doing the after match speeches at around the same time 'people stopped using the clubhouse after matches

One sure way to find out...get yourself up to the Crown to take in a few matches! :)
