"Relagation"?...that's what I usually do to my hot water pipes in winter. ;)

Re: accrington for relagation?

there is a huge chance though

Re: accrington for relagation?

As it looks if we continue our recent form we should be talking about a push for play-offs at least a comfortable mid-table position.

Theres always the chance of relegation but to talk of that as we stand in 14th with two games in hand is a bit off the hook matey.

Blimey with that kind of phenomenal insight you should work for the BBC! :D

Comfortably mid-table with games in hand and 4 out of the next 6 games at home. I think you'll find most on these boards are looking up not down, Happy times for us Stanleyites. :)

If you're so sure, have a punt...40/1 at Coral.

Re: accrington for relagation?

I think it's a safe bet the word relagation hasn't been used on this board all season ( or any other season for that matter ) :)

I'd guess the latter.

Stanley are on the up, we can all see that :)

Re: accrington for relagation?

Unless, of course the football league take a dim view of this monkey business over the asset auction. I assume that HMRC have a default mode for companies that have a history of late payments and as such, rather than resort to the costly process of legal action, then after fair warning they simply pass the debt on to recovery agents.

I really don't know what the law says over this and neither am I aware of any precedent with any other football league club. I suspect, however, that after the run-around given them over capacity enlargement they may well not look kindly upon us and that after today’s notice, it would be no surprise if they were to say we were de facto in administration and 10 points south.

Maybe he's factoring in the possibility of a 10 point deduction after reading th'Obby?

Thats assuming he can read?:D

lancsdave 24-02-2011 22:27

Re: accrington for relagation?

I still think with a 10 point deduction they wouldn't be relegated. The ground capacity issue may be a different ball game, especially if one team in particular get relegated I think they may kick up a fuss

AsFc62 24-02-2011 22:32

Re: accrington for relagation?

The fact he mentioned our current league position suggests he has made his assumption based on todays standings and Relegation really isn't a realistic statement to make.

Obviously, if the proverbial hit the fan then a 10 point deduction would be incurred and the drop would be more of a possibility.

cashman 24-02-2011 22:34

Re: accrington for relagation?

yer givin him a get out, would have mentioned fact if he read it.

Tealeaf 24-02-2011 22:36

Re: accrington for relagation?

Yeah...I agree. 10 points will not be enough to get us out - unless of course, there's a really bad run - but any hope of hitting the play-offs would certainly be out the door.

i just think he could he a banker of sorts play offs whilst a maybe dream but who knows

maccawozzagod 24-02-2011 23:29

Re: accrington for relagation?

factor in games not played yet and we're a top ten team (and we've been unlucky) - a ten point deduction would still need a dramatic drop in form in order for us to go down. It won't happen, and neither will the other
