Wednesdays game

Looking forward to following Hereford to Accrington on Wednesday, always been a good trip, probably because we have won on both occasions i've seen us play there! Just wondering how much it is for students in the away terrace? Your official site says 8 pounds for concessions, and I think that includes students, although its quite vaugue, and it says the prices are for the 2009/10 season. The football ground guide says a fiver. Would be useful to know how much its actually going to be, cheers.

Having looked again at the official site it does actually say students are a fiver on there aswell, although the date is last season, so can anyone confirm that prices are the same?

Stayed a couple of nights in Hereford the other month on the way back from Wales, we got a 24oz steak, chips, onion rings, mushroom, grilled tomato and salad all for just a tenner! It was a cracker, biggest and best steak I've ever had :p

Re: Wednesdays game

i once stopped at a pub about 20 miles away on the country road. There were 5 of us and we fancied a pint and some grub. When we asked for sausage butties they said they didn't do them. When i asked if they had sausage on the menu they said yes. I asked if they had tea-cakes they said yes. I politely suggested that they put them together- call them sausage butties and charge us two quid each. the young girl gave me a funny look and said that she would ask chef. After a few minutes and some shouty bangy noises from the kitchen the young girl returned to inform that 'chef' wasn't willing to do that for us as 'this is a restaurant not a burger van' (they did do burgers by the way). The 5 of us left without spending anything, and also turned away another couple me Stanley cars that were just pulling up. We found a burger van down the road that was glad of our near fifty quid for ten minutes work.

Sounds like a lucky escape - if you ask for a "tea-cake" anywhere south of Manchester - I would be expecting currants in it !!!!!!!!!!

when i worked in Manchester I always made a point of asking for a tea cake in the chip shop. Every day for a week we had the same conversation

"can I have a tea cake as well?"
"what!"
" a tea cake fer t'put me chips on"
"thats a bap love"
"no a bap's what's on your chest and they usually come in pairs"
"a tea cake has currants in it"
"well what do you call a currant bun"
"........ that'll be another 50p then love"

bloody Mancs, think they can re-invent the English language!
