Would prefer a draw to keep pressure on the others and give bury a squeak of champions

You must be kidding. If Torquay lose tonight and we win tomorrow, surely we will be guaranteed a play-off place?

Re: Chesterfield

A draw or loss for the Gulls tonight and we win tomorrow means we are in the play-offs

I stand corrected - senility creeping in.

Can't for the life of me see why you want a draw,,,, unless there's $$$ involved ? :D

cos more incentive fer bury to beat wycombe, technically we can still finish 3rd.;) plus would be happy fer bury to be champs.

If Bury have a chance of winning the league they won't take their foot off the gas. Their last 2 matches are Wycombe & shrews lose their last 2 match matches and Stanley win both theirs they gou up automatically. So if Chesterfield draw Bury have a better chance. Clear ?? :D

Agree 100% nige, if it has to be playoffs, prefer to finish 4th meself.;)

Re: Chesterfield

Finishing 5th/6th is fine with me. I have a feeling that finishing 7th would be better as 4th place is likely to be down after missing the play-offs.

Re: Chesterfield

Do Torquay still face a 1 point deduction, or is that already factored into their 68 points? Last i heard they were considering an appeal but that was a few weeks ago.

VALAIRIAN 30-04-2011 08:08

Re: Chesterfield

It has been deducted already!!

Went to the Torquay game last night with a mate from work - They were the best team, but the best team don't always win. I think i was the only one smiling at full-time !!!!!

Come on Stanley - Lets seal the play-offs and send the Bees down !!!!!!
