Playoffs - Second leg, ultra style!

Friday the 20th of May at 7:45pm, will be the biggest night in Accrington stanley history. The countries football and fellow ultras will be watching to see if we live up to the incredible standards we have set both on the pitch and just as important for us on the terrace, the place will be packed and we have big plans for the ultras 'display' on the night.

All we need now is your help, in the days leading up to the newcastle game there was an amzing response by everyone, now we want to out do that display

Cash, time, ideas......

What can you do to help out?

Any donations can be passed over to me or ash on saturday if you are taking in the sights of burton or i can arrange to collect it locally, i have paypal for the further a feild, we will need help preparing in the next couple of weeks, setting up on the day, and help with the display....

Thanks in advance
Timmins

Re: Playoffs - Second leg, ultra style!

Ultras themselves donations are currently over £100, Newcastle cost around £435 (2 banners, 300 streamers, 250 red white flags, bamboo etc)
this time we ideally need 350m of red white cotton.... @£1 a metre

John

Can you PM me with Paypal details please? Can't make it to the game so can at least let you have the price of a ticket ...

Thanks

JT, what are the chances of having both Clayton End and Coppice End looking like the home end????

That could be some awesome support for Proccy and the boys!!!!!!

Hi Bury fan here,

Me and my mates quite like Accy and would love you to come up. We where thinking about coming and supporting you. Would we get a bad reception off your fans because if so then there is no point in coming showing support from Bury.

Bury fans are always welcome at the Crown!!

Remember the Darlo match two season's ago, Billy Kee scored the winner and "jumped" into the arms of a "home" fan wearing a Bury shirt!!

Just been talking to our friends at Stade de Gigg, they are helping us out on a little kit issue:)

Book soon, tickets are selling FAST!!!:)

Welcome to the Accrington Stanley Box Office - Home

Me and 3 fellow Grimsby fans are making the long trip to Accrington for this. This'll be my 4th Accrington game (6th including 1's v's GTFC) loved every second of them all, Stanley fans are the most loyal, loud but friendliest fans around. Would be nice for us all to meet up in the Crown? Imagine that 4 sets of fans in 1 pub, no trouble :hidewall:

Prefer em to come in there normal clothes if anything tbh, bit poor if some stanley fans loose out to look in and see bury and grimsby shirts IMO. This is the biggest game in OUR history, not theirs!

You have more chance of converting people if they are there and made to feel welcome than if they don't go at all ;)

i agree with the majority. Many of the Bury fans that will come, and the Grimsby lads, have been to more Stanley games in the last couple of years than the infrequent walk on local lads.

Darlington last season.

"the club is skint, we need fans from anywhere to come and watch us and drop a few quid in the bucket."

crowd of just over 3000 was it? including hundreds from Bury, Grimsby, Blackpool, Preston, Morecambe etc. Rovers and Burnley were represented sure but the walk ons who might miss out on getting their mugs on TV for our biggest games? sod 'em, leave them in the pub

Well said mecca. Luke and Carl to name two fans from other clubs have been to more Stanley games than me over the last few seasons. Does that make me a lesser fan? No. But I'd happily give up my ticket to either of them....

I'm thinking of printing myself a red t-shirt that says " On Loan From The Dingles". Maybe I could do one on loan from Grimbsy, Bury and anybody else who turns up :D

true words

cant forget the Leeds fans that turned up cos their game was called off (at Blackpool??) last season... good banter, good laugh, good humour... and good day out....

who gives one if the money goes in the till.... genuine fans had plenty of chance to get their tickets, and even when it went on general salem was still plenty left in Clayton End, and Main Stand

anyone who misses out now is cos they didnt want to go,but do want to complain...

just over a 1000 tickets left... GET ONE NOW !!!!!!!

or watch in the Crown... lol

Pop into giftprint, in the town centre, they'll make you one. Giftprint is between the Bus station and Lloyds TSB bank.

Re: Playoffs - Second leg, ultra style!

I think it's fantastic that supporters from other clubs come & watch Accy maybe they are people's second team but there is also something that says a lot about the Club, Team and most importantly the Stanley fans themselves in that everyone is made to feel welcome.

So much so that they come back:)

If we push over 4000 home supporters for this game there should be a good chance that a decent percentage will come back again from the non normal supporter base within that, if we get to the Final it moves up by several more gears.

This is one of those crest of the wave moments for publicity which is all free obviously what happens results wise will matter to some, facilities and how they are treated will matter to others but for most it will be the mixture and magic of the night itself in that we can all play a part with the atmosphere, spectacle and feeling part of it that will encourage people to come back.

There's no place like Stanley and there's no place like Home:)

Seen as we are not gonna get a punch i think we'll come along to support you. To the guy who thinks we are just coming for the big game, trust me we aint. We went to about 4 of your games last season when Bury wasn't playing because you needed the money. And without trying to sound arrogant we have had our own big games this season already. I just want Accy in league 1 with the shakers because you are a fantastic club and fans. Love Accy away and don't wanna lose it.
