Coley Picks The Team
There isn't one lineup that Coley could pick that would keep everyone happy.. There never has and never will be... So someone has to pick the team and that person is Coley... leave him to do his job that he has been doing well for many years.
Having debates about the team is great and I will join in those. Slagging the manager off and caling him names like some have done in here is not on. John Coleman and Jimmy Bell will take us to the football league. I BELIEVE |

Nobody has a divine right to go up, this is the first time as a full time team that we have tried. Stevenage have been trying years to do the same- they got spanked at home by Crawley last night KEEP THE FAITH However frustrating.......... |
Re: Coley Picks The Team
Agree with both of you 100%.........

Re: Coley Picks The Team
Well said K! Debates about team selection and tactics are part and parcel of the allure of football at all levels, even a team as succesful and brilliant as Arsenal aren't excepted from scrutiny concerning their line-up and the way they approach games. The thing that annoys me about some fans attitude towards their team (Man Utd are a great example) is that when things are going great the manager is lauded as a tactical genius and man-manager par excellance - and then as soon as they lose two on the trot they are past it, useless etc. etc. All teams go through bad patches at some time - Real Madrid are in a slump now but they'll be in the shake-up come the latter stages of the CL and Primera League mark my words - as we will be in April (in the Conference that is.....)!

Re: Coley Picks The Team
I doubt stanley will take any example from real madrid, if real dont start winning the manager goes. Its the president Florentino Perez that runs the team, and the players seem to dictate who starts, i dont think the manager get that much say in anything.
Im sure Coleman and the team will sort it out soon enough....Roll on Monday.... |
Re: Coley Picks The Team
True...but even a team full of class players like Real go through a slump yet quality will shine through.

Re: Coley Picks The Team
There's a fair bit of sense in this thread. Let's face it -- any of us who picked a team for last night's game wouldn't have produced anything a lot different from Coley's line-up - mine certainly wouldn't have differed much from the one that ended the game. The problem is, that little bit of luck is going against us and shots which, on another day, would have gone in, are just sneaking wide (e.g. Craney, Mully last night.) As a result, heads go down and confidence is affected. I'm sure the management team will sort things out - what WE need to do is get behind both players and management and give them all the backing we can,,,,, starting on Monday! Let's face it, even after our bad run, we're still only just outside the play-off zone.

i agree J.C has been amazing for the football club and the town...., i have stood by him over the years. However even i dont understand the decision why hes playin robbie over jonathan..
its like sven picking TITUS BRAMBLE over RIO FERDINAND. I THINK COLEMAN IS AN AMAZIN MANAGER AND I WILL STICK BY HIM WHATEVER HIS DECISIONS, ID SAY AROUND 90% OF PPL ON HERE WANT SMITHY IN THE TEAM THO! |
