staying up ???????

why is it the same every season all our best players leave last season grant and symes now its ryan ,edwards and ? cissak when are the bosses gonna realise that if we are to stand a chance of promotion they have to start to reward player`s with decent contracts the same as other div 2 teams do i know were not the richest of clubs but but i`m sure they can find something otherwise we could do a stockport or maybe that`s what they want then it would be cheaper wages all round

Probably the most offensive statement on here for a long time. Somebody puts over a million pound of his money in to the club and you think he wants to do a Stockport.

Chippo you certainly are daft if you think most of us stanleyites expect the playoffs again next season!! Most of us would settle for staying up this season, just as we would have settled for it every season since we won the conference.

I think most of us are honest enough to admit that we are perrenial overachievers and as such we are constantly expecting the loss of our rough diamonds in the close season, its just how it is!! And do you know what, if at the end of this season we are found wanting for the first time in 12 years then I for one will embrace the fact that at some point Coleys unbelieveable acheivement of obtaining higher league placement and points every season he has been in charge was always going to end, should that mean relegation then so be it. (I dont actually think we will be regelgated though, i'll settle for one place above the relegation spots thanks!)

As long as we have a well run, self sustaining football club where people get paid on time, do their jobs to the best of their abilities, and that isnt lurching from crisis to drama every few weeks then I will remain a happy and proud stanley fan.

Have patience Chippo my friend. Coley and Jimmy are MIRACLE WORKERS. They have been performing miracles for 12 years at Stanley every year. Taking players cast off from other clubs, down at heart or with records of injuries and with no confidence and turn them into excellent super fit players at league level that others then come and nick off us. eg Symes, Ryan, Grant, Jacobsen recently. They take on one or two "old heads" and get a couple of valuable extra seasons out of them eg Marsh, Cooke. They are second to none at getting players fit with limited training facilities, limited gym access and limited medical facilities. They also have a superb method of instilling an amazing team ethos and spirit and a pride shared with the fans. Off course players will go for the extra money... Ryan, Grant, Symes Jacobsen etc, who can blame them!!!
BUT COLEY AND JIMMY ARE MIRACLE WORKERS AND THEY ARE BUILDING A LEGENDARY REPUTAION!!!
HAVE FAITH and BELIEVE !!!

I'm quite prepared to leave the ambition to Coley, as far as I'm concerned I just want a club I can be proud to support and under Coley and Bell I've never been prouder

Well chippo, the fee's we get for Ryan and anyone elses who've left the club, should boost the coffers for a start which should ease the financial burden on the club, with the club willing to let Ryans fee go to a tribunal should demonstrate to us the fans that the club are financialy sound and want as much cash as possible for a highly rated player and not except a bobby grant sorter fee of £60k :) Believe in Coley and Automatic promotion will come:)

Chippo,I understand your frustration, but as i have found out over the last few years,Acci stanley is a unique club, and its hardcore supporters are not bothered what league there in,as long as the team give there all.
Word of advice, read your posts a few times before submitting,as there are some knowledgeable but ruthless posters on here, ie a certain Mr Cashman !!!,as i have found out to my cost lol:):):):)
