Macca is a good pro, technically quite limited but a real 100%er. A battler who'll rarely let you down, alongside a more gifted playmaker he could do a really good job in your midfield breaking up play and he can also do a respectable job at left back.

He'll get a good reception from us when he returns this season.

I remember him and John Miles in front of the Clayton End celebrating Miles' second goal that put Macclesfield temporarily ahead in the crucial last home win of the 2006/7 season which happily made the visit to Milton Keynes the following week academic.

Had a funny feeling they would both be back in Stanley shirts.

Was impressed with him very competitive and a pretty effective footballer - looks like a great signing.
