Ignorant git had to take it didnt he! Obvious he was just to get the news and headlines!

He was good for the first 20 mins and then died down!

Great crunching challenge by proccy on him!

Been on holiday for a few weeks, and went to yesterdays game.
I know it was a friendly, but left a bit disappointed.
With the players we now have,i feel we may have to play 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 as the team seemed a little lost ,particularly the midfield attacking 3.
Positives were the second half centre forward ( from coventry?),who had good movement and proccys/deanos crunching tackles on macconville and miles, and 90 minutes from proccy.
Negatives, some very poor finishing,Craney who doesnt look fit,and the new centre back must learn to hold the line and not drop of before the others.
Dont know about previous friendlies, but this is a step up,and we were found wanting,a lot of work on the training paddock is still required.
PS what was gutherie doing to conceed posession in his own area,by trying a fancy trick, which resulted in a penalty?,unbelievable, you wouldnt see that on the local sunday league pitch.

Nothing new there then.

Thanks for that, football19. That's the first analysis of that Stockport game. I haven't seen any of the friendlies so I can't really comment, but I wonder if we will be expecting too much of young Guthrie if we use him to play one-up-front, especially with an unfit Craney.

Too right there , R.R. He hasn't got the tough physique yet for that role. He did well against Rovers at Morecambe, but they weren't exactly putting in the crunching tackles that day. I'm also worried about Craney, who seems to have carried on where he left off at the end of last season, looking slow and a little bit too heavy around the hips. We need him to be super sharp if he is to be anywhere near as effective as he used to be. Come to think of it, I haven't seen him at his best since his comeback game, the FIRST time around, at Gigg Lane, which was a heck of a long time ago - 4 years?
