Burnley Striker In On Loan.

Accrington Stanley

We needed to do something. The attacking options on display for the first few games were shocking.

Does this mean we will change our style, or does it mean that K.G. will spend some time on the bench????

Me being a Grimsby fan see him a couple of times when he was on loan .. He's better than that bold lazy **** upfront so it's all positives from me :hidewall:

Wes runs the channels very well so it could be they drop one of the midfielders.

Good luck Wes, glad you took the advice :D

Hopefully a good move both for Stanley and Wes a promising young player whenever I have seen him play for the Clarets reserves he always gives it his all and will offer us another dimension.:)

Still would like to see Ian Thomas Moore join the ranks as well or another especially in the midfield department just to look at being able to change the shape & dynamics of the team if needed.

Would be good for kurtis to link up especially when he is winning ariel ball need wes there to then put the ball in the net brilliant combination and with nat Taylor in the mix too - winning times r on the way let's hope for a good win tomorrow night

:)

Really happy with that. Just hope we develop a more direct aspect to our game in the opponent's half (while keeping the focus on good football) in order to get some return from our strikers.

Cheers for the inside info ;) So are we talking a back up for the Lindfield type role???? Sounding good already!! :)

I would like to think that with Craney injured, we will see Nat start tomorrow night!! Also it must be time - with Kev Mc banned - for Dan to write for the last time in his pre-match article:- "If selected, Leam Richardson will make his 150th Stanley appearance!" ;) :)

Re: Burnley Striker In On Loan.

With the injuries i am aware of,the team really picks itself.
gk - murdoch
lb-deano (cant think of anybody else)
rb-murph (ditto)
cb- long
cb- hessey(miller inj.)
Have to go 4 in midfield
charlie,craig,procc and joycy
2 Up front
Kurtis and wes.
Cant think of another combination.
Whoevers left on bench !
That leads me to a bit of a moan--I think we may have been too quick to release a few of the lads.
Is charlie a better wide man than parky?,is craig a better wide man than DJ ?,is murph a better player than bateson?.
Indeed Millers style is no different to smyth or owens.
Indeed,i suspect the gaffer wasnt banking on being let down by so many of the lads or i am sure he would have kept a few.
PS - I hope Wes and Kurtis form a successful partnership and we stick to 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 for a while

Cannot agree with a couple mate:- Leam should be a left back and I would have Joyce at RB before Murph!!! Opinions.. :)

Did not know Miller was injured  :)

Agreed. I can't help but think that Coley was a bit naive (for want of a better word) in thinking that higher quality players would be queuing up to play for us this year, only for the exodus to put many off?

Formation wise, I hope we develop our 4-2-3-1 into a 4-3-3.

Murdoch
Winnard Hessey Long Richardson
Barnett Procter Joyce
Fletcher Guthrie Lindfield

Re: Burnley Striker In On Loan.

Disagree,Valairian,Firstly Liam had no real pre-season,so i presume hes not 100%,so it has to be Deano.
Joycy is our link man,so he would be wasted at right back.
Think murph will do a job(although he is a midfielder)and been told miller is defo out !!.
Think i should have considered young Nat,but there is already a lot of inexperience,so use him as an impact player

Agree with you Davo, but he is a holding centre mid in my opinion, just lacks half a yard of pace for fullback(although he wont let anyone down).

Never been clear to me I'm afraid, give him time and he will certainly prove he's not got what it takes as he will cost us games. Great news about Fletcher though he will pop some goals in I'm sure. Good background and ability.

I have a suspicion that he will.

I wasn't there tonight but if he was up against The Pickler then he was facing a player I consider to be one of the best centre backs in League 2. Neither Symes nor Gornell made any progress against him in the last couple of seasons.

Good sport, too, is Branston. Showed his 6 pack to the Clayton End in response to the "Y.F.B." chant.:D
I disagree with ASFC62 too.

Really impressed with his debut, but he needs the system to be 4-4-2 or 4-3-3.
One concerning point after listening his interview,Is he another scouser ?? :)--- can lancsdave confirm this ?lol

Technically not but Ormskirk is within the nationality qualifications for Stanley :D
