Padraig Amond
Is he still training with us? Or left to look for a deal elsewhere?
He's posted this on his twitter page: "its just gone through loan deal waiting on international clearance." |
Re: Padraig Amond
Think he played for Acci v Liverpool yesterday(behind closed doors game).
Played up front i think in a 1-1 draw. |
Re: Padraig Amond
anyone actually seen the lad play? whats the S.P. on him?
|
Re: Padraig Amond
Looks like he'll be a Stanley player :)
We're certainly not short of strikers now! An introduction to him here: Introducing Padraig Amond |
Re: Padraig Amond
Think it's exactly what it says on the tin, international clearance can take weeks depending on who you're dealing with

Re: Padraig Amond
Your right Jeff,he did play against stockport. He was in midfield and looked a nice tidy footballer, but as we know, the pace and intensity goes up a notch when playing league games.
His position would probably be in the forward/midfield three, and i would be amased if we dont return to that formation,as it makes us a little more solid, and suits the playing squad we have at the moment. I think key to a good season is getting/keeping Coid fit,he could give us the energy/goals Jimmy did, letting craney float like sean did and one other in the three.(hope young Gutherie now realises whats required of him and ups his game). Possibly try young Wes in the three,as he seems to have a good football brain |

Re: Padraig Amond
Bit harsh that Revived red!!,Craney has still got it in his locker to unlock defences and influence games,he just needs to get fitter and come out of his comfort zone, which older players tend to operate in.
He performs better at present coming off the bench, which with his ability,in unacceptable really. Regarding young Gutherie,I meant he probably hasnt played a lone striker role before,so needs to learn pretty quickly as i would imagine we will revert back to this style of play |

1st time in about 6 months I agree with you football19.
Would be superb to see Coid play. He looked class in pre-season. |
Re: Padraig Amond
Lads Podge is a bloody brilliant signing, played for my local team Sligo Rovers and he was a sensation. Will do brilliantly for Stanley, very hungry for goals and a lovely fella :)

Re: Padraig Amond
He had a good game and he and Wes Flecture, will be a good partnership!!!
|
Re: Padraig Amond
Agreed he had a very good game!!!!
|
Re: Padraig Amond
Agreed, gives the team a different dimension, and runs the channels well.
When he does this,at least two midfielders have to get forward to get on the end of his good work. Fletcher and proccy tried hard to do this on saturday, and the signs are encouraging. |
