If Carlsberg made attacking midfielders...

Listen to Coley in this video from two minutes in...

A fully fit Ian Craney; the best player in League 2?

I was a big advocate for him being voted player of the year last season after his contributions and I still believe he was the catalyst to get us into the play-offs. However, I know this quote from Coley will raise a few eyebrows and start a few keys bashing. Discuss!

p.s. Loving these one-a-day videos on the Stanley youtube channel. Great work Dan.

Not Craney's biggest fan by a long shot but I would agree a fully fit on form Craney is up there with the best in this league.

I think most pieces of journalism that looked at the squads for League 2 before the season kicked off picked out Craney as Stanley's key man.

I tend to agree with Shaker that he was the catalyst for the surge in form that resulted in us making the play-offs last season.

This season we have seen fleeting flashes of what he is capable of only.

Over to you messrs Coley & Bell who I am sure will know what we need to get Craney back to his instrumental best.

technically hes quality,if he could do it consistantly he would be performing at an higher level.
Clever footballer, but his fitness lets him down.
He maybe a player who wont push himself through the pain barrier,i just dont know, but all the quality in yesterdays game came when he was introduced---and he was only on for 10 minutes !!!

I know he has his critics. But it always seems to me that if Ian Craney plays well. Stanley play well.

On his day, a top player. Not in the same league as Jimmy Ryan but when hes on form hes quality.

However it is rare he plays well for longer than 3 games, then plays 5 or 6 quiet games after, hopefully yesterdays goal could be a kick start for him..

If we're talking about 'when fully fit', surely Coidy is our best player. But Craney is up there, without a doubt.
