Sorry people, but I have actually broken my own rules and put money on STANLEY to win. Therefore, following usual patterns, Tranmere 3-1.

The thread will be held over until the replayed game. Guesses can stand or be changed up to new date kick off.

We all wish young Tom all the best - and his family and friends; the latest news is encouraging. Good luck for a speedy recovery Tom.

How heartwarming to see all the messages of support and concern for Tom on the 'main' thread from fans and friends of the Stanley; thank you all, whichever team shirt you wear - we appreciate your thoughts and your kindness .............. At times like this we all wear one rainbow shirt .............

Sorry if its been mentioned before, but has anybody heard wether or not we will be letting tranmere score a goal straight from kick off tomorrow night? I know Coley had mentioned in the press we would offer to. BBC Sport - Accrington manager John Coleman makes 'free goal' offer
But haven't heard any response from tranmere?

Re: 2011 Prediction League; Just for fun; Game 3 - Tranmere Rovers (home)

We have to ask ourselves whether we'd accept such an offer if the roles had been reversed - and the answer, surely, however generously the offer is made, is that we wouldn't. It's "the luck of the game"

Does anyone else remember the FA Cup game many years ago (28th January 1961) - Man City at Luton - where it was abandoned after 69 minutes through a waterlogged pitch with City leading 6-2, all six scored by Denis Law. Luton won the replay on 1st February 3-1? :(

According to the BBC:-

1433: FOOTBALL - Accrington Stanley have decided not to let Tranmere score an unchallenged goal when they replay their Johnstone's Paint Trophy second round tie. The game was called off with Tranmere 2-1 up when Tom Bender was injured but Stanley assistant boss Jimmy Bell told BBC Radio Lancashire: "It's getting played again at 0-0. We were never looking at that to tell you the truth."
