Sickening to see a player down for so long, with no apparent movement.... why so long for ambulance to arrive, obvious even from where I sit, it was serious after 2 mins treatment, never mind 25...just hope the kid is OK & will resume playing ASAP.

Good to see your fans, at the end it happened, did not abuse the situation, & gave him a good round of applause when he was eventually carried off.

Let's hope Tom is going to be alright.

My friend's son is Stanley's Kevin McIntyre and we're all grateful he's okay, but concerned for news about Tom.

Did,nt look good from the clayton end bloody ambulance took an age to arrive god knows why, glad in a way the ref had the sense to call the match off as the atmosphere had gone completely and everybody would have just been going through the motions, also must applaude the Tranmere fans clapping Tom as he was carried from the pitch that is what proper football is all about, anyway Tom I hope it,s nothing to serious and we see you back in the red and white before to long all the best young man.

Agreed!!

No ambulances available from Altham, Broad Oak, or even Blackburn? Whenever I have been unfortunate enough to need one, it has arrived within 5 mins.

Sorry, I could say more about our NHS, but that would be unfair to those on the frontline, we all know who's to blame for the problems.

This was the worse Stanley match I've ever been to, the football were'nt great but bloody hell 25minutes for an ambulance to arrive made me think the worse, there's two ambulance's sat at the bottom of my street (Darwen) ready for action, but then again they were probably out picking drunks of the pavement.

Please please get well soon Tom :o, really thought the worst :(

Here's hoping Tom feels better in the morning, it sounds like a right crack he's had! All sorts of scare stories about paralysis, broken necks and so on makes you realise how quickly rumour and speculation spreads.

I'm sure other Bradford City supporters would join me in hoping it's nothing more serious than a concussion and a few bruises, and are wishing him a speedy recovery.

Glad to hear that Tom is stable at the moment, it was horrible being there last night. The moment it happened it seemed to most of us that it was not good, then as the time went on - it seemed like forever - and more people were on the pitch around Tom, we all feared something very, very bad had happened - not taking away from what has happened!!

Well done to all at the club.

Thank you to the Tranmere FANs - they were great!!

And it is great to see/hear all the footy FANs from clubs everywhere rallying around, well done to all.

Years ago, we had a Sunday League match which was cancelled just after Half Time, due to a broken leg, and the ambulance taking ages. We were 1-0 down at the time and, as manager, I offered to give them a goal in the rematch. The ref said he couldn't start it 1-0, but we could stand aside and allow them to walk the ball into the net from kick off. The opposing manager put the suggestion to his players who, although flattered with our offer, declined.

The league were overjoyed with the sportsmanship shown by both teams. The community of Football is the winner sometimes...
