Share Issue Promotion
The Bee are currently present on Broadway promoting the share issue.
Have to say it's the best performance in a Stanley shirt I've seen this season :D Saw one Accyweb member dressed up in the gear but claiming she hadn't taken part :p |

Re: Share Issue Promotion
On a serious note, having read the brochure the application form only gives an option for full payment. Fairly sure when it was first brought up there was to be an installment option to make it available to as many people as possible. Has this idea now been dropped ?

Lots more people will opt in using that system. I know from an admin point of view it's not the best thing but in terms of more people taking part and feeling included it is important that the any information of that sort is issued asap

Re: Share Issue Promotion

Re: Share Issue Promotion
I'm sorry I may have spoken out of turn by misreporting my conversation with Maureen. What we were talking about was that at the share meeting it was definately stated that a pay in instalments package would be looked at, not that one is actually available! My mistake not Maureen's!
This is what happens when you talk about these things whilst being badgered by a four year old!! Lol |
Re: Share Issue Promotion
At the risk of being branded negative, but I can't believe that people have not commented more on the pricing used in this share issue.
From my perspective, I can't help but feel that the shares are over-priced at £100 each. It's obvious that the shares have no real monetary value as such, and are therefore only 'valuable' in terms of them being 'Stanley shares' - an opportunity to 'own' a piece of the club. The ownership of 1 share is really neither here nor there and whilst the ownership of 10 shares wouldn't give you any more say in things, it feels as though you're getting more for your money. With this in mind, pricing the shares at £10 each would surely have generated more interest amongst the masses. From a personal perspective, at £100 for one I'm not interested in adding to my very tiny share holding, but at £10 each I might have bought 10 or so. In the grand scale of things it makes little difference I suppose, but I like to feel that I'm getting something for my cash. |

Reading about the share issue in the Observer at the weekend
Only problem it was from the 1950's |

Great headline - "Accrington Stanley can still be saved from disaster". It's never been an easy life, being a Stanley fan, has it? |
Re: Share Issue Promotion
For 100 quid, exactly what would you get in return apart from a 'piece' of the club and an invite to the AGM's?
Offers on merchandise, tickets etc? should hope so for that much just for 1/9,999 |

Don't think there are offers with it. Not just an invite to the AGM but a chance to vote. Not much of a vote if your only one person with a view but collectively it could make a difference. |
Re: Share Issue Promotion
I think I'll throw £100 at one, but I don't expect to see it back ever. It's less of a financial investment and more of a local pride one. I just hope they've got their numbers right and they manage to sell enough of them.

Re: Share Issue Promotion
Also, if 9,999 shares are being sold, is that 100% of the clubs shares?
Presuming Ilyas will buy alot of these shares then he is the major share-holder? or am i on the wrong lines |
Re: Share Issue Promotion
They are new shares, there are 11,800 shares already in existence
|
Re: Share Issue Promotion
I have also just found the answer to my question about insyallments by checking the minutes of the AGM for the last answer/

Re: Share Issue Promotion
i want to buy 10 but not until i have some spare cash next march.
The question i have, what percentage of the club will each share own? What is the current total of all the shares available? |
