Home and away he hasnt been outstanding at all for a championship striker! A good player for a squad like ours but i wouldnt say a match winner from his time at the crown! |
Re: wes ?
I would say his 1st 3 games he was a class apart to be honest. !
His last 3 he was carrying a knock anyway. |
Re: wes ?
Decent prospect, but didnt break any pots.(may have carried a few niggles)
Thought he may benefit from playing in the three,as movement is key,and i dont think he was quite ready to lead the line. Wish him all the best though, and he was a yard quicker than I first thought, which always helps |
Re: wes ?
:) In case anyone ain't seen this heres the reson Wes was recalled :) Wednesday, 26 October 2011 07:53 http://burnley.web-fans.com/images/s...sithappens.pngManager Eddie Howe has recalled striker Wes Fletcher from his loan spell with League Two neighbours Accrington.
The 20-year-old scored twice in 12 appearances for Stanley this season and had been set to stay with the club until January 20th 2012. Eddie Howe told our club’s official website: "Wes is back with us. Unfortunately his time Accrington was cut short. "We will wait and see what happens with Wes but there is the possibility he will go back out on loan." Despite the recall, there was no place for Fletcher in last night’s squad who travelled to Cardiff on League Cup duty. Wes made his only Clarets appearance of the season in our 6-3 AET victory over Burton in the Carling Cup First Round in August. |
Re: wes ?
And the reason is..........................?????????????

Re: wes ?
|
Re: wes ?
Was probably played in his correct position.
|
Re: wes ?
From my perspective he never looked interested after his first game. Maybe his nose was put out of joint by being asked to play in a different position, I don't know. Maybe he thought he was better than League 2 football. If he's happier playing in Burnley's ressies than the Football League, well fair play to him. All the best. Sinnabit.

Re: wes ?
I too noticed, that in the last few games he played, he didn't seem interested at all.
|
Re: wes ?
Maybe he's 1k - 2k a week even in reserves???? who knows???? :o
|
Re: wes ?
Joined The Alex until Jan!!!
|
Re: wes ?
strange move that one,as crewe are no better than Acci and its further away!!,wish him all the best tho,got a load of talent, but time will tell
|
Re: wes ?
A source said that there's a clause in the loan deal, making sure that Fletcher is only ever played up front and never has to track back and is under no pressure to score goals.*
*This may not be true. |
Re: wes ?
now now shaker,he may blossom as there "loan"striker:)
|
Re: wes ?
scored a nice goal yesterday, still think he will turn into a very good player, notice hes playing up front:)
