Buy a Share in the Stanley .........

I just went on the Fishy. I saw, at the top, the banner which says "Own a Share in Accrington Stanley" - you know, the one with a picture of some players, and a pretty prospectus?

I haven't actually seen the prospectus yet, so I right clicked on the image (left click did nothing) to see what it told me - you know, prices, procedures, dates, deadlines, rights and the like - all the stuff that might be interesting if you're thinking of investing.

A new window opened, which said;

"Copyright. DO NOT STEAL"

For goodness sake ..........................:o

Go to the fishy site, on the left hand column under Commercial click the share issue package, the banner is on that page. The correct links are actually under the article

Oh dear. If you still want to see information go to ASFC News, Archive then open all the October list. You will find 'Brochures now available to collect' at Mon 17th.

From there you can access Ilyas' statement and the application form. :)

Your way is quicker Dave, lol.

well impressed with that Dan!

Really hope that some of those banker types part with some of their hard earned for the right to be the first person ever to ask "who are they"

thumbs up to whoever came up with that idea

Good idea, i think tied in with robs visit into sky sports news studio yesterday as well...

if they intend on sellin 10k's worth of shares, they have got to keep pushin the idea in the big cities, cities like manchester and liverpool are a must to visit, i think they are more likely to find more links to the club closer to home.

Re: Buy a Share in the Stanley .........

Thinking about purchasing a share, but can anyone on here please inform me what does that actually mean in owning a percentage of the club?

To my reckoning and correct me if I'm wrong there are 10000 shares avaliable at this time and if these were the only shares of the club each share would be worth 0.01%.

Ilyas will be giving his shares away to the current shareholders at a certain point in the future, but how much of the club does Ilyas currently own? ie. if he owned 100% the 0.01% ownership would not be diluted, but if he currently owned 50% each new share would be equivalent to owning 0.005% of the club.

If that makes sense, can anyone please help.

Cheers

There were 9,999 shares being issued with this issue. From memory there are 11,800 shares already in existence of which I think 42% are in Mr K's name.

Re: Buy a Share in the Stanley .........

Thanks for info LancsDave, so if you bear with me for a second whilst I get my calculator out assuming the info above and my maths are correct.

Each share as a percentage will be worth 0.0067% of the club, there or there abouts (I think).

This was worked out by using the total number of shares of the club 27999 and assuming each 1 share will be worth 1.495 shares once Ilyas has split his 42% of them evenly. (42% being equivalent to 4956 approx shares, and 4956 split between 9999=0.495).

These figures have all be rounded.

Does this make sense, am I going mad,

Thoughts please,

Matt

Bit of a typo there but I think you did your calc on the right figure 21,999 :)

Re: Buy a Share in the Stanley .........

Well done Mr. Matthews! You have shown that the careful calculations made are correct.

In the future ASFC will be governed by shareholders, the community, those with the
club at heart.

Every share = one vote at any EGM, AGM or General Meeting and it will not be possible
to hold a controlling percentage! :Di

I'm pretty thrifty meself, but have still bought a share regardless, couldn't careless, it gives me a tiny part of a great little club n helps the club move forward imho.;)
