Does anyone know anything about this keeper who seems to have been with us - slipped under my radar.

Scott Maxfield referred to in the article is my second cousin's husband - played for Unibond XI whilst at Barrow took over as manager of Buxton last week.

Must have been on trial mate, or maybe a short term deal.

Youth team player, now 17 and with Altrincham; was their youth team player of the year last season and has been on the bench for their first team a few times.

Adam Reid was a member of Accrington Stanley Youth team..He was not given a YTS contact / did not secure a YTS contract, and was let go at Christmas 2009 by Phil Hackney aged 15.
At 16 in the summer of 2010 he joined Altrincham FC Youth team, playing in the Northwest Youth Alliance Premiere League and became their regular Youth Team goalkeeper.
Adam now at 17 stands approx 6'4" tall and is a very commanding vocal keeper, he also appeared on the Altrincham FC first team bench in the conference league, 2010/2011 season.
Buxton FC... Adam Reid, borrowed from Altrincham at the start of November 2011 as cover for Scott Hartley. Came through the junior ranks at Accrington Stanley and impressed on his Bucks debut at Frickley.
