A Dagenham View

Hello there Accy fans! A Dagger here, wondering if you'd like to have a look at my Blog on Saturdays game!

I was an idiot standing on the uncovered terrace, you may have saw me; the lanky sod dressed in a yellow Daggers shirt for the full 90! Anyways, enjoy

Hard luck, lads. If you thought that pitch was wet, you should have seen what it would have been like last season before the close season work. Only you wouldn't have seen it, as the match would have been off. We know what you went through. We only got a roof on the home end relatively recently.

Good blog, Nick.
Just for the record on the weather front, I was one of a handful of Stanley fans a couple of season's ago standing on the open end at Victoria Road where the rain was horizontal. It was so bad the stewards let us sit in the stand for the second half so we, and they, could dry off. Maybe Stanley brought that weather with them.
A game against the Daggers can't be the same without Tony Roberts. His antics were worth the admission alone.
Anyway, good luck for the rest of the season.

I like reading the various blogs from away fans. They wouldn't be the same without the standard derisory comments about our ground and town. But well done on this one, a better class of insults than the usual fare!

Thanks for your compliments chaps, appreciate it!

I'm sure I would have enjoyed the experience a lot more if it was not for the weather and I generally find your fans a good bunch. The opening day of the season we played football with them at Norton Caines and were very inviting as I believe I posted on here before!

I look forward to our next meeting at our place and wish you good luck with the rest of the season.

I prefer to think less of a game of footy, more of a lesson for your lot :)
