Bryan Hughes.
The man is a class apart. What another shrewd signing by Coleman I just hope we get him signed up till at least the end of the season, apparantly current contract is only till January.

Re: Bryan Hughes.
Agreed, hes top class. If we manage to persuade him to sign a new contract and stay on for the rest of the season, he could be the difference between us doing something this season or not..

Re: Bryan Hughes.
Agreed with Aggro !!!
|
Re: Bryan Hughes.
Hughes gives em summat that was lacking imho, hope he will hang around fer season, gut instinct says he will.
|
Re: Bryan Hughes.
Thats all we need, ill be happy if he stays until May :)
Then he can leave a Legend ;) |
Re: Bryan Hughes.
Cheers for the link!! Along with Hughes, I think that Lindfield is a different player this season!!!

Bryan Hughes in the last few games has been brilliant. We've just got to hang onto him.
|
Re: Bryan Hughes.
The class that he's got transcends the passing of time - its for all time.
I very much hope he stays at Stanley and masterminds a promotion season. Thanks in great part to him we have the momentum. |

Was encouraged by this but its from a couple of weeks back:
Hughes eyes Stanley deal - TEAMtalk | Football | League 2 | Accrington Stanley News Read this on Daily Mail site from when he initially joined the club: Good luck at Accrington Stanley Bryan. You were one of the best midfielders ever to wear a Blues shirt. - John Philips, Northants, 28/10/2011 17:11 Read more: Bryan Hughes joins Accrington Stanley | Mail Online |

Hughes wants 'future sorted' | Accrington Stanley News, Fixtures, Results, Table | Sky Sports Praying we can keep him till May, he is the difference between a good and poor season, simple. |
Re: Bryan Hughes.
How can we afford the guy on a permanent deal! I'd love to see him stay, he is a class apart, but how?
|
Re: Bryan Hughes.
Correct me,but I thought most of people on here agreed that a good season would be staying in the league after losing most of our best players!!!!.
Think what the team has achieved so far, nearly exceeds last seasons exploits. If they get over 50 points, that will be a result in my eyes----come on smudgie what they achieve from now on is a bonus!!! |

Further to that, I believe Charlie Barnett is more than capable of doing what Bryan Hughes does given the chance, should the worst case scenario come to be. I believe he has the talent; his game is a class above this level, just as Hughes' is. All I'm saying is be wary of putting too much on Hughes. He's quality, but there's a lot of that in our team. |

My goal at the start of every season is always, safe by Easter, anything more is a bonus that I'll enjoy. |
Re: Bryan Hughes.
No question Football 19, i'm perfectly happy after what occured end of last season, my point is simple,a player of hughes quality is worth retaining not just on the pitch, but also what he can pass on to our kids, after all hes a class up from what else we got. thats my view.;)

Re: Bryan Hughes.
Cashy I think everyone knows hes class,he played in the prem league !!, but we are not a one man team and signing him depends on what he is asking for.
Defo improved our team attacking wise, but lets not forget upto last weekend we had lost only 6 games,so there are other key players who have played there part,Hessey,Bav and longy spring to mind. |

Re: Bryan Hughes.
Avoiding relegation is ALWAYS my target, regardless of what happened last season. Until we can improve the infrastructure at the club it will always be the case.
If you read my season preview in the magazine Four-Four-Two it states this. My point being is that there is no co-incidence that since Hughes signed it has totally transformed our team. IF we can keep him then there might, just might be an outside chance of a playoff push, IF not then so be it, but we will be weakening our chances severely in the middle of the park. |
Re: Bryan Hughes.
Reply to Crown Grounder!!!
Maybe by offloading some of the others in the squad!!! We have far too many who do not feature!!!! Just a thought... |
Re: Bryan Hughes.
Good point Val,The only one that has me scratching my is Coidy,Can only assume, like Liam,he has been plagued with injuries/pulls/niggles etc..as hes a top player
|
Re: Bryan Hughes.
Cannot understand the reasons to not play coid either.
He has been fit for a while now, fair enough we where winning but he is a class act. |
Re: Bryan Hughes.
I think I said if toto played against Barnet,I would defo have played coid,as his experience would have helped against Marshall(who tormented murph a few years ago with his pace).
He looked fit to me and I would defo play him on saturday. |
