Re: Good luck then Coley ...
A sad day for the Club and especially for the fans who had a great affinity with the duo but one given JC & JB twelve years in charge and the success they have brought to Stanley one that was perhaps inevitable sooner or later?
Good Luck to them both at the Dale |
Re: Good luck then Coley ...
Many thanks to John and Jimmy. They have been wonderful servants of Accrington Stanley. Sincere thanks and good luck to both of them.

Re: Good luck then Coley ...
thanks John and Jimmy! You've done a great job here at stanley and I really hope you can use Rochdale as another springboard to success - i think you've got a shot at being a premier league management team at some point in the future!
thanks Harry Potter |

Missing you already! |
Re: Good luck then Coley ...

Re: Good luck then Coley ...
I wonder how many managers around the country enjoy the respect/admiration/confidence that Stanley fans demonstrated ? JC has gone from 3rd longest serving to newboy status. Hope 'dale treat you right and wish you all the best - just don't loot the team you've been building at Stanley - there's a good lad !
Brilliant job at Stanley for which heartfelt thanks. |
Re: Good luck then Coley ...
Only John Coleman will know why he has moved on at this particular time... but knowing all about his many skills I'm more than sure that his reasons are good and proper..SO.... although our Club is in a slight state of flux, like everyone else I can only wish him ( and his trusty aide-de-camp !).. the very best of futures, beginning with him devising a strategy for the saving of Rochdale's bacon as a Division One Club ?, which should make for interesting viewing !!.
GOOD LUCK JOHN AND JIMMY !!...AND A SINCERE THANK YOU FOR YEARS OF SOCCER FUN AND THRILLS AT THE CROWN !!!. |
Re: Good luck then Coley ...
Good luck John and Jimmy, hope it is the right move for you both..........................
|
Re: Good luck then Coley ...
When you consider all the stuff that's gone on in recent years, it's a credit to Coleman that he stayed as long as he did. Can't blame him at all and although it saddens me that he's gone, I hope he finds success in his new venture.

I can only echo what has already been said. Your achievement at this club has been astounding and everyone connected with the club in any way will always be grateful.
|
Re: Good luck then Coley ...
A sad day for accrington stanley, however we have all been blessed with so many fantastic memories which wont ever be forgotten.I wish you both all the best in your new job.I just hope the club can now find a new manager half as good as coley and I will be happy, as no-one will achieve what john and jimmy have achieved for us.
|
Re: Good luck then Coley ...
There has been good and not so good times, but John & Jimmy always kept the faith. Thanks very much for those times and all the best for the future. Don"t know who will take over, would like to see Ashley Hoskins back in some role and possibly Paul Mullin.
|
Re: Good luck then Coley ...
Not been going Stanley long but I know that Coleman is a good manager. He has done Accrington a great job and he definatly deserves a bigger club than Rochdale hopefully he can one day.
Good luck Coleman. |
Re: Good luck then Coley ...
Thanks for bringing us years of unbroken achievement and happy memories in the face of the kind of adversity that would have wilted ordinary mortals. Best of luck except against Sheffield Wednesday.;)

Re: Good luck then Coley ...
Humbling to look back at where we were in 1999 when John & Jimmy came to Stanley: relegated from the Unibond Premier Division with crowds of less than 500 at a run-down football ground. At the time, it appeared that the Club had missed out on the opportunity created by the FA Cup run of 1992 and was going nowhere.
So many memories of the last 13 years ... those huge crowds against Belper Town and Farsley Celtic in the first season; Andy Gouck's goal against Huddersfield in 2003 and Rory Prendergast's penalty in the next round; promotion to the Football League ... impossible to even dream about in 1999; Ian Craney's 'cracker' against Morecambe; Jimmy Ryan ... what a find, what a player; hundreds of Stanley fans at Elland Road; the impossible dream of becoming a League 1 Club last season ... I never thought that I would have such great memories when they took over in 1999. No words can express my thanks for what they have done for me as a Stanley fan over the last 13 years. I sincerely wish you both the best of luck and happiness, you fully deserve it. Whalley Red. |
Re: Good luck then Coley ...
