I have to say he has played a variety of roles this season and filled them all well which is great credit to the lad now he has a good run of games he has come on leaps and bounds to become one of the first names on the team sheet:) I think it will be an interesting Summer all round at Stanley |
Re: accy v accy (rochdale)
Monday win for us against hereford put them down all most then tues Sheffield united beat Accy b team to Send us jc back to us for two games only
|
Re: accy v accy (rochdale)
Everyone is saying that if dale go down , who is coley going to take with him. But in all honesty who can he take. The best player we probably have is ammond , deano and joyce. Two of them are already contracted so they`d have to pay and paddy will want to stay with cooky. The only player i can think of is craney, but he can take him with the way his fitness is these days. Who else can he take as i dont think he will want any.

Re: accy v accy (rochdale)
Looking forward to seeing some familiar faces again next year. Dale will bring back our famous duo plus possibly Symes , Edwards and whoever else they steal. And with Fleetwood about to be promoted that wud also bring back to our home charnock cavanagh mangan Barry.

Re: accy v accy (rochdale)
I will be a Rochdale fan on Tuesday night. I am counting on them to put paid to Sheffield United's game in hand/2 point lead (effectively 3 points due to goal difference thanks inter alia to Stevenage).

2 Good gates fer Stanley next season, thats fer sure.:D
|
Re: accy v accy (rochdale)
Well I think the majority of Rochdale fans where resigned to be relegated before Coley took over.
However, get to xmas and if he isnt in the top 8 in League Two I reckon he could be under pressure. Looking forward to another trip to the Dale I must admit :D |

Re: accy v accy (rochdale)
Spoilt his C.V. with that move for a "bigger club"....Said it before he went....the grass isn't always greener on the other side of the fence !!! He / They should have waited for a much bigger club !!!Thanks for the happy memories J.C. & J.B. !!!:o
Welcome back to League Two !!!!!;) Personally hope we can do the "faileys" twice next season to rub their noses in it !!! I've every confidence that Cooky & Leam will have us right for next season for our next push onwards & upwards !!!!:D |
Re: accy v accy (rochdale)
Rather looking forward to returning to Spotland I must admit :)
|
Re: accy v accy (rochdale)
Yes it'll be nice to renew old acquaintances after all these years(!);)
Going to Spotland isn't too bad an experience, though i'm not too sure about some of their chav fans visiting the Crown.:( |
Re: accy v accy (rochdale)
Good to see one long run replace with rochdale just Hope chesterfield walsall and wycombe Cum down.
|
Re: accy v accy (rochdale)
Don't think Coley was best pleased by the reaction of some Accrington fans at the delight of Rochdale's relegation on last nights Late Kick Off.

Re: accy v accy (rochdale)
"be careful what you wish for"
|
Re: accy v accy (rochdale)
He did say there was going to be a wholesale clearout at Dale - makes you wonder which of our team he has his eyes on. Also said that he expected Fleetwood be able to attract the cream of the North West's pool of available players.
|
Re: accy v accy (rochdale)
I think it's very unfair that Coleman should draw attention to the tiny minority of fans who wanted Rochdale to be relegated. The vast majority didn't seem to bare him any malice when he left and actually wanted to see what he could do at a higher level.
Maybe he's trying to stir up some rivalry where it doesn't seriously exist? Who knows? Or maybe he's looking for a scapegoat or two? Whatever the reason, the silly wishes of a handful of people can't be used to disguise the real reasons why Rochdale were relegated. |
Re: accy v accy (rochdale)
I must confess I wanted Rochdale to come down, but that was more to do with getting the 464 derby back than Coley getting relegated.
Like he said though, it will be a tough league next season with regards to some squads, I'd expect Rochdale to be fairly serious players this time around and it will be interesting to see what kind of a squad Coleman can assemble and whether his magic (everyone thinks you're cap go and prove 'em wrong) works with a better cast of players. |

Re: accy v accy (rochdale)
I was glad for the derby and the local game. No dig at coley for everything hes done, just the club and the game.
Glad hes come out and said alot was his fault and that he had time to save them but couldnt. Alot of people said he hasnt had time but he has had time to get them out. Was it 3 points from safety when he took over them? Im not sure if it was that or 5 but the point is he had time, he brought in quite a few of his own players with Symes, Edwards, Long, Mconville and with that he also had a good players already inherited with grimes and akpro etc. They`ll be up there next season, but cant see why we cant if cooky also gets in his players. |

Loved the guy as a manager and I was hoping he did keep the dale up so he could move onto bigger and better things. One thing to bare in mind though is that there is a reason why a hell of a lot of opposing fans have hated Coleman as a manager over the years and I can see the general good will of the stanley fans towards him turning after he raids our squad for players in the Summer and then is against us for two derby games next season. |
Re: accy v accy (rochdale)
As a 22 year old all i can remember is John and Jimmy being in charge. They have engineered some of the happiest days of my life and would never begrudge them for wanting to take on a different challenge BUT i really wanted Rochdale to be relegated . Not because I dislike John and Jimmy but because I dislike Rochdale. As a Town and as a Club! To me the dream team made a grave error in joining that lot as they could have done a lot better.:(
