After Wigan's demolition of MUFC, Liverpool and Arsenal, BRFC must be shaking in their boots that the mighty WAFC will be turning up in their back yard. I for one would love to go and watch that match, assuming it does not clash with any ASFC games. If it does, Accy wins for me everytime.

Er, i'm a bit "basic" when it comes to computers as you've probably guessed!:lamer::rolleyes:

Anyway, i reckon they're after poaching our fans one way or another. Folk keep saying that their season tickets are "a lot cheaper than ours", but they don't mention that they get 4 games less.:rolleyes:...and you can't stand up either!!;)

I've seen Rovers ads on Accyweb before now. Understandable from Accyweb's point of view, as running a site like this costs money and they have to take any advertising revenue that's offered. As for the chicken farmers, they don't give a toss about us and I don't give a toss about them.

we may not be cheaper (significantly) than Rovers next season, but if they don't go straight back up you can bet your last chicken drumstick that their prices will rocket in their second Championship campaign.

Good point, Google Page Ranking. Well worth a few posters in Accy, but how about in Ossy, Church, Clayton etc? In fact, would it be worth putting up posters and handing out leaflets along the lines of "Have a change this weekend - come and watch football in the old-fashioned way - standing terraces etc" in the heart of enemy territory - Blackburn and Burnley town centres?

I heard at the weekend about two Rovers season ticket holders who are not going to renew their tickets if the Venkys are still in charge and have said they will come up the Stanley instead.

Do we reckon we are about to reap a "chicken dividend" of disllusioned Roverites preferring to spend their Saturday afternoons at the Crown and should the club be exploiting the situation by promoting itself in this direction?

A mate of mine is a life-long Rovers fan (who knows people in high places), and he's seriously expecting liquidation and a restart as FC Rovers of Blackburn in the Northern Premier. Apparently it's much, much, much worse than anyone thinks ......................

Said it before a key area for season ticket sales or maybe some kind of cheaper price for possibly the first game of the season sort of try before your buy scenario, if it puts a hundred on a gate at a Tenner a pop it's a grand in the hand and if you convert some along the the way all the better.

Seriously, I think it's a great idea, but you'd probably get some existing ST holders whinging about having to pay full, while ex-Rovers fans paid half.

Perhaps ST holder could be re-imbursed in different ways. Free tickets for JPT games, money off in the shop, free pint every home game etc. :)
