Great work Cooky & Leam!!!

Must admit I was not fan initially but he was a rock in the last few games.

An experienced head alongside him, what a signing that could be :D

I agree Smudgie, I too doubted his ability at first but he came on leaps and bounds through the latter stages of the season.

Yep agree with above... first 3/4 games not quite looking the part but coming good. Good signing.
I make that 9 players now signed up (10 if you include Liam), think at this point in the past couple of seasons we only had 1 or 2!

If he didnt play at the end of last season with our injury crisis then surely he wont play again?

On the subject of Toto, agree about his early form and am surprised that he has been signed - Hess would have been a factor - but, he has improved and with the right partner, may get much better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best bit of news to have been posted on the fishy site - pity Hess and Big Mac are packing it in - but good luck to the guys, welcome to the Stanley family Toto. Great work by the management and directors of the club.

Toto has the right attributes to be a top class defender and grew in stature and confidence the more games he got under his belt.

I think will prove himself more and more particularly with pre season at Accy he will hit the ground running in League Two come August and my only worry is a one year contract if he carries on improving at the rate he did last season there will be clubs queuing up in twelve months time.

I was with everyone else - I watched Toto and Lee Nicholls making regular dogs breakfasts, and winced. Cooky and Leam saw what - initially - we didn't, which resulted in performances like the Cobblers game, when Toto did what many other sides didn't, and effectively marked Akinfenwa out of the game.

For sheer potential, one of the best signings for a long time; two years would have been better, though, because someone will come in to sign him, and we want a decent fee for the improvement that he'll make over the season in our squad.

Already have the experienced centre half in Dean Winnard with Toto in there as well I think we have the makings of a formidable centre half pairing already plus the ever dependable Peter Murphy.

One the best sights last season was seeing a Cheltenham player battling with Toto to reach ball. The Cheltenham lad was running at full tilt, legs and arms flayling. Toto was barely jogging and got to the ball with time to spare.
Would be shame to see Peter Murphy displaced from his CB position, which he grew into.

Peter didnt grow into CB, it was his original Natural (and best) position all along.

Im sure there will be room for both in next season's team.

Oh dear, smudgie and i will have to disagree again!!.
Peters a good player but i have said all along hes a holding midfield player.
He just lacks half a yard of pace at the moment to play CB in a team that holds an high line.
Does well defending deeper,and reads the game well.
If he comes back after summer flying,then i will take my hat off to him.
Again,this is just my opinion,only cookys counts really

Good news getting Toto permanently. As has been commented he had a few dodgy times in some of his earlier matches but he really improved and grew in confidence towards the end of season, when for me he was man of the match a couple of times. He clearly has the potential and physical attributes to become a formidable centre back. With a regular partner with more experience he could become the rock in our defence which we have missed since Kevin Long was lost to Accy Reserves over in Rochdale. A good signing so well done Cooky and Leam. The squad is starting to take shape.

Redraine.. Does Sean Mc have a "special post" somewhere? Better have a look for it!!

Delighted by the news that Toto has signed. Wasn't expecting that. I'd like to see him partner Dean at centre half. Well 'ard.

With regards to Murphy, I enjoyed most seeing him play in midfield; holding, but with licence to go forward. I like him a lot as a player and I hope he keeps improving.
