Geography, the Stanley Director and the Cat
Last night on A Question of Sport, Phil Tufnell was called upon to get his team members to identify “Accrington Stanley” without mentioning either of the words on the card. When he started with “Football Club – Manchester”, I lost all sympathy. No wonder his team couldn’t guess it. Come on Bumble . . . have a word! :) Get him to buy a share as penance.:D

Don't imagine he was answering the question, more giving description of Stanley fer the team to guess. not very difficult to give n accurate clue or 2.

Re: Geography, the Stanley Director and the Cat
Reminds me of the locals in the pub at Kidderminster when we played our last Conference match: "They'll struggle in the league, being so close to Liverpool and Everton, and with Tranmere not far away!" :)

Re: Geography, the Stanley Director and the Cat
I would have given the clue ' Livingstone I presume' . This has nowt to do with the proximity of Livingstone Rd to the Crown ground. Or 'Famous bricks' Any other suggestions?

Re: Geography, the Stanley Director and the Cat
small league 2 football club, situated between Burnley & Blackburn. David'Bumble' Lloyd is a well known fan. Milk advert with small scousers argueing. Play in Red and white.
Would this serve as an acurate description? |
Re: Geography, the Stanley Director and the Cat
Yes, but he had to get as many points in 60 seconds as he could, and with that length of description he'd likely only have got the one ............:D

Re: Geography, the Stanley Director and the Cat
Clue: Peel Park or Crown Ground. 2 words only
