Rob Atkinson’s performance

Rob Atkinson had brilliant first match for us yesterday, on loan for a month yesterday he gave a faultless display, if he can echo that performance week on week he would be a super acquisition, do you agree

Do you think he'll feature against Rochdale again this season? :rolleyes:

He were apart of the Fleetwood Team we knocked out of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy

Good player, reminds me a little of Keith Andrews who played at Blackburn, very comfortable when in possession of the ball.

Two big differences, I think. Firstly, Rob Atkinson showed no inclination to run round like a headless chicken. And secondly, he seemed able to pass to one of his team mates rather than the opposition.

And just thought of a third one. He can head the ball.

Re: Rob Atkinson’s performance

Sometimes football fans make me smile!!, Andrews is a defensive midfielder,so part of his game is to run around and plug gaps left by others !,you don't play in the prem/championship if you can't play, indeed he will be probably playing international footy against Germany next week, not bad for an headless chicken that can't pass ! Lol

He deserves to keep his place. He only joined Stanley on the Friday. Which made his performance that more impressive. I know its a bit of a thread wander, but looking forward to Rochdale up here next week.

I think we both agreed smudgie a bit of experience down the spine of the team wouldn't go a miss, and so it's proving, just need to keep it going

there's very little of any note on the Dons Forum (when I eventually found one!), other than;

"their number 3 (i assume he just meant left back as Liddle wasn't on) was excellent, didn't put a foot wrong all afternoon"
"the big centre back was excellent, gave nowt"
"the number 5 was a dirty get and spat at the crowd"

Or words to that effect anyway, was last night when I looked.

The Wombles at Work 1973 act decreed that Orinoco and Great Uncle Romania would learn to use lollipop sticks dipped in fruit juice to scribe things on walls, Make Good Use of Bad Rubbish and all that jazz, unfortunately for Terry Brown he'd been doing the opposite of that and subsequently got the sack

Re: Rob Atkinson’s performance

Molyneux was MEGA.

To the point they gave up attacking down the left in the second half!
