Ideal for me in a way. Was heading up from Devon after work on the Wednesday to see the folks for the weekend. Will now stop at Oxford on the way, then got the Wycombe game at home on the Saturday.

Still wish we had bloody held on though!!!!

Re: oxford replay

According to the ESPN website, they are showing an FA Cup replay on Weds 12th Dec - teams TBC v TBC.

There is only our game and the Mansfield v Lincoln one on that night.

Might be a chance as wasn't the other game shown live for the original tie?

Re: oxford replay

Sadly, from The FA's site at http://www.thefa.com/TheFACup/More/TV:

Wednesday 12 December 2012
Mansfield Town v Lincoln City (7.45pm) - Live on ESPN

The Mansfield/Lincoln home tie against Liverpool is also scheduled for live ESPN.

The fee for the second round replay is £34,100 but for the third it's £135,850!

so: how do i get hold of these tickets? i phoned the club yesterday and they said they would be on sale today at the club shop but when i ambled up to the stadium this afternoon there was no-one there. at 3.00 on a saturday 2 weeks before christmas!

so now i either have to dash up there during my lunch on monday or send the missus up there with a bag of cash. Or i just turn up on wednesday night and hand over the extra money

Facebook page for the shop said they were open until 3pm today, you must have just missed them.

Re: oxford replay

Wonder if there is provision to show our match at Oxford in the event of a postponement at Mansfield - No undersoil heating and it's not been above Zero for the last couple of days in that neck of the woods.

Well I live 50 miles from Oxford and if the weather stays the same tomorrow, there is NO chance of the match being on.

Well Bradford have just done Arsenal in the other Cup tonight, so Oxford certainly aint outa the question.;)

Re: oxford replay

When you consider that this game is worth potentially between £75k to £100k to the winners (the figure including prize money and shared gate receipts from both the Oxford & Sheff Utd game) , this game takes on extra significance.:o

That sort of money covers our wage bill for the best part of two months (if our £10k a week budget is taken into account )

Get through against Oxford... and the T.V. cameras might just roll up to witness a third round game that would encapsulate all the romance of the F.A. Cup, underdog versus a fallen giant and all that. A "winnable" third round game on home soil with the chance of drawing a real giant in round four!!! Potentially more money into the coffers!!!:D

I'm sure all this isn't lost on Leam and the boys. Here's hoping we can do the business later tonight!!::D

Might be a blessing - give Beattie a chance of being fully fit.

We are at home Saturday and they have a nice little trip to Morecambe.
