Losing Beattie in the warm-up probably cost us that one ......

Well a disappointing day in the Midlands.

My two pence worth, seeing as ive missed the last couple of games.

We must have had 60% + possession and created very little indeed. Beattie hurting himself in the warm up (calf ) was a sign of things to come. Unfortunately after him we have next to nothing else up top. Podge tries his heart out but just isnt suited to the lone striker role.

All it took was one small slip from Lindfield (again playing RB, why?) , and as we know, as much as the Ultra's love to slag him off, Billy only needs one chance.

Thought Rachubka did ok, didnt have much to do really and had no chance with the goal. Looks solid enough and hopefully we can keep him for the rest of the season.

Boco looked a class apart, however for all his effort, nothing seemed to come of it, which was a shame.

For me I cannot see the reason for leaving Hatfield on the bench for 80+ minutes, he scores 4 away at Fylde and cant seem to get a look in???? I dont get it :S.

Final point is on Joyce.......... What is he bringing to the team at the moment!?? I cannot see ANYTHING. We are trying to play him in a Bryan Hughes type creative midfielder role, when he is simply not up to it. Time for Luke Clark to get a chance????

Not far from looking over my shoulder............ :(

Hatfield i cannot weigh this up at all, agree Smudge, apart from the 4 in cup, The guy has a fair rep fer us as a supersub from last season, Scored some vital goals when coming on, it beats the crap outa me.

Indeed. The commentators on Radio Derby, as Podge was being subbed, said he hadn't impressed, and were a little bemused that he hadn't grabbed the chance to show what he could do after Beattie's late withdrawal gave him the opportunity.

Sky Sports News have shown Burton's goal twice now. Kee played Toto brilliantly.

With regards to our lack of penetration, in my opinion we have looked at our best of this season when playing two forwards up top. Even without Beattie, Podge and Will would pose defenders plenty of problems together.

Any news on Beattie's injury?
