I could not agree more. Yes, there have been some disappointments but there have also been occasions when the team has shown real spirit. Those occasions are too quickly forgotten. And it seems unfair to start picking on individuals on the basis of one game. There are some very experienced players in League 2 and it is not surprising that individuals may possibly struggle in one game against a vastly more experienced opponent.

How many times has it been said that we punch above our weight? We do - let's keep sight of that. Survival in League 2 is the best that we can expect. Yes, we may HOPE for more, but survival should be our expectation. And I do expect that.

To even think of following the examples of Chelsea, Blackburn and Notts Forest in sacking the manager is ludicrous. Perhaps those who have suggested it would give Leam the courtesy of spelling his name correctly. From the evidence of the live text yesterday, it is also wrong to suggest that there are problems in the camp. Dan said exactly the opposite after Craig Lindfield's goal.

Let's get behind the team.

After seeing 99.9% of away and home games this season our manager as bad as I hate saying it is just not good enough ! Unfortunately I'd rather have Liam go and get an experienced manager quick to get us out of this!! Forget being nicey nice , we could be going down this season so something has to be done! Either keep Liam and giving some money for some wages for some decent players for half a season or get someone in who can reunite the players and get them playing again !!! And there's clearly something wrong in the camp as you can tell with how the players are even when they come out the tunnel !

Also another note. If Joyce stays as captain then we will certain to be going down!! He is nowhere near a captain! Doesn't get the players going , doesn't play well himself and show them how it's done , no fight , no passion ! Everytime they scored yesterday he didn't once say anything to anyone!

Another waste of hard earned money going to watch stanley!

Must add my opinion on this topic we all know the team is young and inexperienced and so his Leam he,s going to make mistakes even with better older players. I personally think we have struggled all season especially at home this must be laid at Cook,s short reign 1 goalie signed on why back 4 all inexperienced no recogniseable right back centre halves both with no left foot smallest left back in the league daft appointment as skipper, but I remember Cook saying it did,nt matter who was captain it was,nt important. Leam as had to work with this and you got to let him have a go in the January window and hope it turns things around but to say get rid now is just stupid like the venkys.

I think Macca had drunk too many cherries last night somehow.!

I asked a legitimate question, I've only seen 3 of the games that BT has played in and I'm a ball watcher rather than a game watcher. My question is valid and still remains, does he or does he not involve the midfield positively? Subsequent posters suggest that 'we' are playng more hoofball with him up front, therefore the midfield are bypassed and redundant. Therefore 'he' becomes the weak link. It doesn't matter whether you or I think he's crap or otherwise (which isn't what I said), if our play is affected by him being on the pitch then I'd sooner play with someone we can pass the ball around with.

This Barca-esque formation that we persevere with only worked for the personnel we had two and a half years ago ... we aint got a Procter or a Ryan or a fit Craney or a Gornell or even a PrimarkConville to play that brand of football with. Only Boco could dream of slotting into that midfield.

Personally macca i think its sod all to do wi BT, our midfield is virtually non-existent at the moment, Boco is virtually on his own, we got no ball winner or captain type figure n thats were its at to me, Hoping fer a couple of experienced guys n a new captain in the window. fer me thats all the kids need.

If we look at posts about matches pre-Beattie, the complaint about hoofball was still there. In fact it was worse then. At least Beattie can hold up the ball and try to play it off to midfielders. Podge found that impossible.
