Ex Chester, Morecambe and Rotherham; released end of November

Where will Liddle play if we do get him? I liked him (Liddle) in midfield when he was on loan last season ...............

Then you must remember Bernard Briggs, the goalie who only ever let in one goal?, he used to drive a motor-bike with a bath as a side-car !. The goal he conceded was scored by 'Limp-Along Leslie' a fantastic footballer who, because he limped, never made it as an international player...two morepotential match winners for The Reds who have vanished into memory's sunset air ??.

Indeed.
Left back or right winger according to his wiki. Strange. I would have thought that left back was one position where we are relatively strong, with Lidds and Moly both good players. Unless, of course, it hints at a departure.

Great signing , really rate him, give him half a dozen games to get match fit and we are getting that bit of experience we need,

I'd sooner he did that in training and closed doors matches!

Richardson has recognised our obvious fraility to opponents getting too many crosses in and has moved to close that particular door.

Lindfield, for all his applaudable efforts, was only our best right back because there was no other real choice. And Liddle seems to have been getting the run around for the last few games. Liddle and Molyneux, IMHO, offer a steady and well balanced partnership going forwards, but wingers are getting past far too often.

Re: wilson

I like liddle, but a lot of teams are putting a taller player against him and playing long diagonal balls, me personally would stop these balls at source,ie midfield etc... But I ain't the manager!!!,and it's easy in the stand

maybe insurance with Murphy & Molyneux both being on 4 yellows Lidds also on 3

Re: wilson

Can't quite believe we've managed to sign him - albeit on a short-term deal. He doesn't just bring individual quality but a versatility which we have lacked. With Molyneux at full back and Boco playing the left-wing I imagine he'll challenge for places on the right. Well done Leam & Co.
