Congratulations Bradford

It was nice to hear the Bradford players being proud of being a league 2 side after tonight's game. Thought they played with a lot of heart and wish them all the best for the final.

Possibility of a Welsh team and a Yorkshire team in the final. Has the League Cup final ever had 2 foreign teams in it before ? :)

Did we not draw 1-1 with them at the Crown earlier this season (and were unlucky not to beat them!!)....or did I dream that !!!!:rolleyes:

Fair play to 'em. Showed what a little hard work and application can do!!!

We did draw, but the statement wouldn't have looked so good.

Re: Congratulations Bradford

Watched both legs on TV and over both legs Bradford deserved to be in the final, Villa though it would be a walk in the park last night, they were wrong very wrong, the only time they showed nerves was when Villa scored their second goal, then they got the squeaky bum time

Got to hand it to them & it's a brilliant advert for lower league football, well done Bradford (still can't quite believe though that if Chelski beat Swansea tonight, the Bantams could be playing in Europe next season) :)

No they wont they would have to win it to play in Europe, runners up don't qualify, if the winners have qualified by another route, the place goes to the highest place club in the prem who have not qualified already

If thats the case= grossly unfair in my book.:(

That's why I said they could be playing in Europe, if - and I know it's a big if - they can beat Chelsea in the final (that's supposing Chelsea beat Swansea tonight) - at least that's what the commentator on SSN said last night

Its always been that way cashy, since the restructuring of Europe around 1994/5 when they did away with the cup winners cup, the FA Cup is different a place in the Europa League has to go to the highest placed team that has not already qualified, this has gone to a beaten semi finalist once I think, The League Cup only the winners get a place, if they have already qualified the place goes to the highest placed team in the Premier League not qualified, there are 4 places in the Champions league 1 in the Europa league for 5th I think, then one each representing the cups

Heh, Bradford have won a trip to Wembley. That's the prize for their fans.
Any talk about next season's competitions in Eurineland is best left to football gossip merchants on TV.
Good luck to 'em.
