An absolute disgrace.....Without Jack there would be no A.S.F.C.

A small price to pay...... to make a great big nod to the man who made sure the club had a history after '62 and re-name a part of the ground in honour of the man who made sure it was all possible.:(

If the powers that be read this board, they should make sure this happens as a matter of urgency. Actions speak louder than words.....Get it sorted A.S.A.P.!

Good news has been received that Jack's family will be
delighted to have a memorial in his name at Accrington Stanley
Football Club. The OSC have been made aware of this and have
known for some time that Peter Marsden and the board are fully
supportive.

Indeed it is Good News Sherry & we had the nod from Peter M from the first time he was contacted with regard to the idea.

Wheels are in motion as will be discussed tomorrow night and we should have more details over the next few weeks.

Thank You for your help Maureen in pushing this along.

Delighted to announce that Next Saturday will see the re-naming of the Main Stand to "The Jack Barrett Memorial Stand" the signage should be in place after the Cardiff City game on either Thursday or Friday.

Jack's Son Stephen and other Family Members will be at the game as Guests of the Club to also unveil a Plaque to the commemorate the occasion.

I will post timings later on in the week but a chance for us fans to "Honour One of Our Own"

The Official Supporters' Club led this providing both the
sign and plaque in memory of Jack. It liaised with Jack's family taking their
wishes into account and arranged the visit for the ceremony with the full
support of the board.
